GOD HELP ME.
I have met another devil, this time —who looks like a bigger ass than Kade Perez himself. I drove home quicker than how I always do. The thought of that Erik guy just made me want to shit my pants. I knew I was surrounded now by bad guys. Now it's all thanks to Dre and his two buddies. I didn't know they had some sort of an association with another devil, Erik.
"Milana, I have to talk to you."
Dad's voice appeared behind me as I gently placed the boiled carrots and broccoli onto my plate and his. He came home early today and I got no clue why, but with the expression and his words, I think I know now.
"Sure, Dad. What's up?"
Dad was sitting comfortably, leaning back against his chair at the dining table with a newspaper in his hand like always. He took a breath before replying. "Your middle school classmates swung by to find me."
My eyes immediately bulged out and my jaw slightly dropped. "Wait what?!" I yelled in a bit of panic.
I did ask for it.
I did ask that bastard to bring his old roaches to apologize to my father but I do as well remembered I haven't mention anything about going to the police department and meet him there themselves.
My eyes whipped to my dad ever so fast as I wanted him to respond as quick as he can. He gazed at me strangely but sighed. "They started apologizing and it made me so confused, and they told me you've asked for it. Did you?" He lifts a brow.
Then I told myself. There is no need to lie. You've already lied to your dad two days ago. This is a simple question.
I began to stammer as my dad watches my every movement, noticing my nerves. "Uh yeah. I did. But why didn't they—" I interjected myself, looking for suitable words to respond with, but nothing came into my mind. "—nevermind. What did you say, Dad?"
"I forgave them, that's it."
He should've locked them up, even just for a day. I'd still feel content.
I bit my lip as I wiped my hands using the hand towel that was hang on the cupboard and leaned against the counter. And then a question that makes me so curious decided to appear in my head.
"Was Kade there?"
I was goddamn curious to know if he was there or not. Well he should be there since he had the most responsibility out of his friends, he hurt me more than them —he was the brutal leader of the gang.
