OH GOD.
What on earth is she doing?
I thought in my head. Here I am, standing dumbfounded in the middle of the parking lot at the back of Blairstone High with a confused plus curiosity look on my face. I had already texted Dre the second I got here. My eyebrows furrowed as my eyes squinted, it was one of those days where I wished I had brought my sunglasses because it keeps blocking my sight and the direction I desired to look at.
The twins stood beside me with their petite hands held mine tightly, a little more tight as they were also oblivious to what's going on and why I was stopping in my tracks in all of a sudden. With Fae on my right while Faye on my left, they both turned towards each other before looking up at me. I saw a hint of worry in their eyes but I reassured them by giving a smile.
"Can you two wait in the car for a moment?" I ordered politely, giving a gentle squeeze on their hands. Both of them turned towards each other before nodding their heads towards me. I then walked them back to my car, which is literally just five feet away. Putting them in the back seat, I advised them to lock the car doors for a moment.
Taking a heavy sigh, I trudged back towards the gate. Thankfully, it wasn't too far from my car because I didn't want to lose my car at sight since I got twins inside. My eyes squinted back at the familiar figure standing right in front of a one very familiar looking Range Rover. I blinked in confusion but that doesn't stop my feet from walking towards her. She then cussed something under her breath.
I then cleared my throat, wanting her to know my presence is here. "Quinn? What are yo-"
"Shh, be quiet." She hissed, interjected my greeting, her head still not moved to see me and she looks like she's not surprised to know I was there behind her. She then whipped at her back, looking at the backdoor of the school before moving head side to side as if she was taking caution of who's coming out or not. "We wouldn't want the devil to spot us."
I furrowed my eyebrows together, moving closer towards the car in order to see her expression. There was a serious look on her face but at the same time, mischievous. I stared at her strangely before examining the car beside me. Familiar look, familiar color and familiar-scent?
"Isn't this Kade Perez's car?" I queried, pointing my thumb towards it. She didn't bother turning towards me and walked near the backdoor, her eyes still trying to make sure there was no one there.
"Yeah, squint your eyes on the window." She instructed. I raised an eyebrow but there was a part of me feeling like I was fascinated to see what she was doing, so I did what she told me to do.
