Once again, I'm back at the Perez residence

Once again, I'm back at the Perez residence.

I straightened my posture after ringing the bell to the large front door. I hugged my thin brown jacket tighter around my chest, crossing my arms to preserve the warmth. My lips thinned into a straight line as I hear feminine voice chirping from inside the house.

And she sounded excited.

I feel like I'm being watched by the security camera that's right above me to my right.

The door was then unlocked as I was greeted by the overwhelming smell of baked goods, hinted with a faint scent of vanilla and lavender. Blaire stood there with a broad grin stretched upon her face as she swiftly pulled me into a hug — out of sudden nowhere. I resist the urge to blink in surprise, maybe she's just in a happy mood.

But every time I see her, she's always smiling. I have to say however, it does make me feel more comfortable around her.

"Hi, Blaire." I greeted, almost as soft as a whisper as I sent her a warm smile.

"Oh, so nice to see you again, Milana!" Blaire beamed. "Are you here for Kade?"

I shyly chuckled. "Yeah, actually I am."

I almost forgot I literally came for him. I'm so used to going to his residence now.

"Hold on a second." She informed. I muttered a small thanks.

She picks up the intercom near the door. "Kade, come downstairs. You have a guest."

Ah, big houses and their solutions.

"So how was the visit to Uncle Walter?" She piped in with a grin.

"It was great, I really enjoyed my time there. I think me and Maybel became best buddies." I sent her a wink as she laughed.

"Not doubting that, she's a very friendly little critter. I always ask Walter if I could borrow her, but of course he wouldn't allow me."

I sent her a small chuckle in return.

"Tonta?"

I heard the soft voice of the person I was looking for as my eyes darted to the left and up the stairs, seeing Kade walking down sluggishly while yawning. His fingers started scratching the thin fabric of his maroon shirt covering his biceps as he wandered towards us with a blank look.

Had to admit, even when he's wearing home clothing that could be just pajamas, he still does look out of this world. What would he look like in a suit and tie?

Why are you curious, weirdo? Because I'm still staring.

I hope Blaire doesn't notice.

Heat rushed to my cheeks as I remember that night at Walter's, and it's not helping that his slightly oversized maroon satin sweatpants looked like it's going to drop. He is just like Dre, huh? I faked a small cough, moving my arms behind me as my fingers fiddled each other.
