AH, WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT how easy it was to get a job at Susie's.
But of course with the help of Kade Perez, his Spanish language, since she's not all that fluent in English anyways, and his family connections with her, he did somehow helped me. There was originally no empty positions in Susie's Shack, but the lovely Susie said if I do want to work there — she'll let me. Such a kind lady.
She didn't give me an official position to work as in the diner yet, so I would probably know when I arrive there on Monday. I, of course wanted to be a waitress because I love greeting people and seeing new faces I guess.
"Blaire. She needed some help preparing the food, if you care to do her favor." Kade said at the back. I closed my car door before replying.
"Sure."
Following his footsteps towards the back of his house, his sudden movement stops halfway as he ran a hand over his hair. "Fuck." Somebody looked a little stressed.
"What?" I asked.
He scratched the back of his head before looking around, trying to find something. "Blaire expected me to wash Tyson earlier." He grunted underneath his breath. "Fuck, I forgot."
Well what do I say to that? "Need any help then?" I raised an eyebrow.
He turned to me with his hands rested on his hips, looking a little annoyed. "Do you really think I can trust you after what happened to my bucket of nails?"
I shrugged my shoulders with a smug face. "I've done this with my neighbor's dog a couple of times before, I've had the experience."
He slightly flung his arms up and nod. "Good to know. I'm sure if they hired you as a personal assistant for a company, you'd be fired after thirty minutes within the first day."
I looked at him a little bewildered before rolling my eyes. "Jesus, take a breather. You're cruel as fuck." I crossed my arms together frustratingly and looked to the side. When will he not insult me?
"Isn't that why I keep appearing in your nightmares?" I heard his voice say. Well damn. How'd he know.
I looked up to see him noticing my expression, resulting in his lips quirking into a slight smirk. This guy could read me easily like an open book, and I hate it because I couldn't do the same to him. This is so unfair.
"So..." he dragged his word. "I did appear in your dreams?"
I scoffed. "Don't flatter yourself. You appear as an obese gorilla drowning in the river in my nightmares." He instantly shook his head, looking not bothered. He left for a second to find the giant breed of dog as it came walking down to my spot. He pulled the pipe, gesturing it towards me.
