TODAY IS THE DAY for my home-school graduation. The day where everyone gets excited to finally graduate and leave all the school crap behind. Don't get me wrong, I loved home-school, but my desired university awaits me. I couldn't wait to wear my graduation dress, give a heartwarming speech. But hopefully not too emotional and fling my hat up in the air.
The celebration will take place tonight at seven in the evening and Keegan will be my chauffeur. Well he wanted to drive me there and back home. My Dad told me that I should just go with Keegan's plan, even if my dad can bring me home. He's not too sure if he is able to attend the graduation. Of course, you would say in your head, he's a shitty dad for not attending his one and only child's graduation but I won't take those bullshit because his job is important to him — and to me.
"You look great, honey." My Dad softly commented with a genuine smile on his face. I grinned at him before he embraced me into a hug.
"Thanks, Dad." I replied before letting go and looked at my self again. I agree with his comment, not to call myself egoistic but I at least look pleasant for tonight's graduation. The only people I'll be seeing is Keegan and other homeschooled kids from around the area. I have never worn a dress in front of them before, it's mainly outing clothes —but I hope this dress was suitable enough. I didn't want to ask Dre or Sam to join me because they have a big exam going on tomorrow, and that's more important to them.
Sam, on the other hand is stubborn like she always was. She planned to come to see me graduate even from two years ago since now but I persuaded her not to and make her study tonight instead. I could sense she was pouting her lips in upset through the phone and whatnot but she can't —she has to focus on her exams no matter what. It's her key to her chosen university or college, wherever she wants to apply to. I'm sure her desires is big as mine.
"So when will Keegan pick you up?" He asked.
My Dad and Keegan is actually good friends with each other. Keegan just happens to get along with him really well and I must say both of their personalities is almost similar. My Dad doesn't usually smile all the time, but even the smallest things could make a smile on Keegan's face. They are both very adventurous on the other hand. Sometimes if I couldn't join my Dad or if I was lazy to do outdoor activities with Keegan, he just goes with him instead. That is why, Keegan always asks about my dad, which was undeniably sweet.
And he also thinks that Keegan is the only guy I can trust in my life. Because it's not just me that known him for two years, but also my father. Maybe he knows Keegan even more than I do because they go out often to take a trip down the mountains — far away from the city.
"About ten minutes." I responded.
"Alright then I'll see you later, little peach." Dad told, patting me on the head.
