"Better than two milkshakes?"

Kai chortled, plopping an arm on the bench behind me. He decided to get me a frozen yogurt and one milkshake instead of just two milkshakes. To be honest, I didn't know why I haven't buy frozen yogurt before because now I feel like I'm going to get an addiction out of it. What makes it even better was that he decided to add extra brownies and caramel on top.

"Seriously, I'm gonna be obsessed with it now. Thanks." I admitted. Savoring each time I put it inside my tongue, and sucked the plastic spoon clean. Needless to say, it was more expensive than the milkshake and I clearly know why.

My eyes inspect his movements as he abruptly kicked the ball into the net. If I still had that same little crush on him, I would've been flattered at the fact that I got a vip viewing seat.

"So you always come here to practice?"

"Mhm," he hummed, tapping the ball back and forth between his two feet. "Sometimes with my buddies. But of course I didn't invite them cause I want it to be only us. I owe you, Milana."

"So how's things with you and Celeste?" I asked, hoping he'll be transparent about it.

He exhaled before shoving a hand roughly over his hair. "We broke things off. Well I did. She's not worth it at all, Kade Perez was right." He situated himself next to me, taking a big bite of his froyo.

"I think it's the right thing to do, you deserve better than her." I advised.

"Yeah." Was all that came out of his mouth in a very subtle way.

In a split second, my breath hitched as I could feel the lingering melted yogurt on top of my tongue, near my throat —ready to be swallowed. My nerves overwhelmed my senses as I found myself to finally gulped down the liquid and my saliva. I knew what he had in mind with his face slowly leaning closer to mine. His gaze kept flickering down my lips every second.

Back then, I would've peed my pants if this happened.

But no, it felt uncomfortable.

No, it doesn't feel right.

It's just way too fast, and it felt even more wrong when I don't have feelings for him anymore that screams I want him more than a friend. He can't kiss me if he does not like me in that way either, so he's making a fool out of himself too.

My head turned immediately towards the front, avoiding our eye contact which seemed long but it was really that short.

"W—We can't. We don't have feelings for each other like that, atleast not anymore for me."

My eyes went back to him to see him bit down his lower lip, leaning back against the bench before a gentle sigh escaped his mouth.

"Fuck, I should know that. I'm sorry. I should know you're not the type of girl I always meet at like parties and stuff."
