CHAPTER 34: Holding Back

[Zed's POV]

This day was supposed to be special. I'm supposed to be holding the hand of the girl that I love. But rather than doing so, I let it go.

I don't know if this is the right thing to do. But I don't have a choice, I just hope she'll listen to me once I told her everything.

"Here." I handed her a paperbag that's supposed to be my gift. "I'll tell the driver to drive you home."

I actually wanna be one to do that.

"H-huh?" Confusion is written all over her face.

I can't blame her, even I was surprised seeing Pia here in my room. I know that she is confused by my sudden change of mood. I'm an idiot, I know.

"You can go now." I told her.

I know that she's waiting for an explanation. I wish I could tell her right now, but I mustn't.

"W-wait, T-that's it?"

"Yeah. You know the way out right? I guess I don't need to give you a map?"

Idiot! You're only making her hate you more. I told myself.

If she's going to slap me or punch me straight to the face, I guess I'll take it without any complaints.

"W-what?"

Sophie please just go now. I silently pleaded inside my head.

"I don't like repeating myself." without even looking at her straight into the eyes, I shut the door.

I know that I would regret doing that, but i also know that if I will not do that she'll stay there to get an answer to her confusions right now.

I wanna go after her but I can't. Parang naulit nanaman ang nangyari dati. Why do I always need to hold back everything that would make me happy?

"Babe are you okay?"

Darn. I must have been spacing out several minutes already.

"Yeah. Ofcourse."I answered giving her a smile as I sat beside her.

"I'm sorry for coming here so sudden."

"That's okay. Just don't push yourself too much and next time tell me beforehand so that I could just----"

My cellphone rang before I even finish my sentence.

"Just a sec." I said and took out my It was one of our driver's.

"Yes. What is it?"

"Sir tumakbo po si Miss Sophia papalayo samin kahit tinatawag po namin siya, umiiyak po kaya---"

"What?!" I don't have a time para pagalitan pa ang driver. I'll go after her myself.

"What's wrong?" Pia worriedly asked.

"Uhm.. Pia just wait here for a minute. I'll be back."

I ran down stairs. I hope she doesn't ran off aimlessly,  she's an idiot that would just run without any idea where she was heading.

"Where did she go?!" I asked the driver whose waiting on the front door.

"D-doon po Ser." he pointed.

I ran towards the direction that he told me. Maybe she managed to remember the way to the gate. Depending on how fast she ran I would still be able to catch her before she reached the gate.
