"She's going to be nameless for her entire life. Dave can't even pick one. I mean we made this list and half of them are gone because he's got a god damn stick up his ass," I said as Abby and I sat outside while Ophelia played with Rumpel in the grass.

"You guys will find a name when it's right. What do you have so far?" Abby asked. I pulled the piece of paper out of my pocket and unfolded it.

"Virginia, Taylor, Veronica, Rhiannon, Priscilla, Lucille, Nevaeh, Eileen, Cherie. Cecilia and Calliope. That's what's left. He crosses a new one off everyday," I replied. Abby took the paper from me and looked at it.

"Taylor for Taylor duh. Surprised Dave hasn't crossed that off," Abby said.

"It's a middle name like Virginia is. He's making this difficult and I want to just push him into the god damn pool sometimes," I replied and Abby started laughing.

"Well as long as all you want to do is push him into the pool," she said through her laughter and I couldn't help but join in.

"I pushed him onto the bed last night when he took Desiree off the list. I give up on naming her," I said as I noticed Dave in the kitchen.

"You guys will find a name. I know you will," Abby responded with as Dave came outside.

"Talking about baby names again?" Dave asked as he sat down with us.

"Yes and she wants to give up," Abby replied.

"She pushed me onto the bed for taking a name off the list last night. She didn't even get on top afterwards," Dave said with a smile.

I glared at him and he leaned over and kissed my forehead. I stopped paying attention to them and went over to play with Phee when Dave lit up a smoke. While Phee and I played with the basketball, I thought about different names. Ones that weren't in the books we had but ones I personally wanted. I had an idea and walked over to Dave and Abby with Phee.

"What about Mellie?" I asked as I looked straight at Dave.

"Are you nuts?" Dave asked in response and I looked at him.

"No I'm not. I like the name and it feels right," I replied.

"I like it. Mellie Virginia Taylor Grohl," Abby said with a smile. I smiled back at her but stopped when I saw Dave shaking his head no.

"No I don't like it. Pick something else babe," Dave said and headed inside.

"Britt can we go swimming?" Phee asked me.

"Phee we can go swimming while Brit and your dad talk ok. Come on let's go get our suits on," Abby said. Her and Phee headed into the pool house while I headed into the house. I found Dave in the nursery painting again.

"Why are you being such an asshole about this? You said I'd know it when it came to me and this is it. I like the name Mellie," I said.

"I'm not naming one of my daughters after an ex girlfriend. I don't care if it's not her name but it's too similar," Dave replied.

"You won't name our daughter Mellie because you think it's too similar to your ex girlfriend Melissa, who is one of my favorite musicians and bass players. Am I understanding this correctly?" I asked.

"Yes. Don't even think about naming her Louise either," Dave responded with.

"So Jordyn's off the table then too?" I asked in a snarky tone.

"That's not even funny," Dave said and threw the paintbrush down on the drop cloth.

"Wasn't meant to be funny. I got the name from a god damn reality show I used to watch. Just because I like Melissa Auf der Maur doesn't mean I'm naming our daughter after her. God you're such a fucking asshole," I yelled at him and walked out of the room.
