"Are you telling me you want me to spend the night with you?" Dave asked as he turned his attention back to the road. Dave made a turn into a parking lot and I saw we were at a beach.

"Yes. Who knows when we're going to be able to do this again so why not make the most of it, right?" I said as he turned off the car and reached in the back for the food.

"Right. Let's go sit on the beach and eat before we go back to your place and do god only knows what you have in mind," Dave said as he caressed my cheek.

I smiled and said ok and we got out of the car. I now understood why I had to bring a blanket. Dave handed me the food and took the blanket so he could lay it out. We sat down and ate while we watched the sun slowly set and just talked. I felt at peace sitting there listening to the waves and him talk. I had my back to the water with one of my knees up. Dave was telling me a story about him and Taylor from back in the day and he had a hand on my thigh on the leg closest to him. I rested my chin on my knee and smiled as he finished his story. Dave looked at me before he pulled out his phone. He snapped a picture and put his phone down between us.

"What are you going to do with that? If Jordyn sees that on your phone we're both screwed," I said.

"I have an app that I can use to keep them locked up. Don't worry that pretty little head. I just couldn't help myself. The way you were looking at me and smiling with the sky and water behind you, it was a moment worth capturing," Dave replied and i smiled even wider.

"Where exactly are we? I mean I get it's the beach but....where are we?" I asked as I looked around.

"Malibu," Dave replied as I looked back at him.

"Ok now I have another question. When are we going back to my place?" I asked.

"Don't want to make out on the beach with me?" Dave asked as he reached over and pulled me onto his lap.

"I would love to but it's a public place," I replied as he moved my hair away from my neck.

"I haven't seen more than maybe four people walk past us since we got here. A little risk never killed anyone," Dave said before pulling me in for a kiss. Everytime his lips touched mine, it felt like the first time.

"Come on let's go," I said once we pulled apart.

I stood up and picked up the containers the food had been in. Dave put his phone back in his pocket and picked up the blanket. I ran ahead of him and threw the containers in a garbage can. I waited for him to catch up to me and then we walked to the car together. We headed back to my place after stopping at a liquor store for some wine. I headed straight out to the back little patio area and lit a smoke. Dave came out shortly after with two glasses.

"So you wanted to get home just for a smoke?" Dave asked as he sat down, put the glasses on the table and lit one himself.

"No. I wanted to come home so I could make out with you without getting caught. I just decided to have a smoke before I pounced on you," I replied and took a puff.

"You don't seem like the pouncing type. More like the type to be pounced," Dave replied as I took a sip of wine. I smirked and slightly chuckled.

"I have many tricks up my, at the preent moment, non existent sleeves. Get more of this into me and you won't know what hit you," I said with a wink and Dave laughed. I looked out into the small little backyard Abby and I had and smiled softly. I could see Free's toys in the corner and I missed him. I looked back at Dave when I felt his hand on my thigh.

"Penny for your thoughts," he said and I blushed.

"Just missing my godson. We should go inside and get more comfy," I said as I put my smoke out.
