13 Weeks and 2 Days Later - September 12
23 Weeks and 6 Days
"I'm so happy to be home again. I missed this house and I can't wait to see the girls or my fur baby," I exclaimed happily as Dave and I settled down on the couch for a movie.
"We were only gone four days babe," Dave responded with a small chuckle.
"I know but I'm pregnant, hormonal and just want to sit on the couch and eat chips or play with Phee. I'm so over Frozen though. If I hear let it go one more time, I'm going to pull my hair out," I said which caused Dave to laugh even more.
"Oh just wait until our little girl gets obsessed with Frozen or something like it," Dave said and my eyes went wide.
"She's never seeing Frozen ever. Never ever ever ever," I exclaimed and then rubbed my bump.
Dave and I had found out on our one year that we were having a girl. We wanted to make our 1one year special and that was the way we decided to do it. I was excited and so was Dave but I knew he was hoping for a boy. When the doctor told us girl I had seen the disappointment briefly in his eyes before he broke out into one of his classic smiles. We still hadn't told anyone it was a girl. We were waiting until after we told the girls and we were doing that this weekend. I had gotten the girls these necklaces that said which sister they were. There was four necklaces in the set, each with two hearts and a birthstone. I had gotten the first name initial of each girl engraved on the blank hearts on the necklaces that said big, middle and little sis and their birthstones. I left the baby sis one blank because she had no name yet. We cuddled up on the couch and started watching the movie. About half way through I got bored and started reading a baby name book. I read off names to Dave when I found one I liked and he usually said no but I wrote down the ones he said he did like. Even after the movie I kept reading the book and reading off random names as we walked up the stairs and got ready for bed.
"What about Prunella?" I asked as I got into bed with my head buried in the book.
"You want to name our daughter after something old people eat?" Dave asked in response before going into the closet. I looked up from the book and kind of thought about it for a second. I shrugged and then went back to the book.
"I guess your right. This is harder than I thought it would be," I said and threw the book across the room. Dave was walking out of the closet when the book landed at his feet. He bent down, picked it up and then opened it to the girls section.
"Let's see if I can find one," he said as he walked over to the bed and sat down.
"Ya good luck with that. She's gonna be Baby Girl Grohl for the rest of her life," I replied.
"Here how about Rosalie? You like twilight and so does Violet," Dave said as he pointed at a name and turned the book to me.
"I'll add it to the list but it doesn't feel right," I replied and picked up the list of names. I wrote it down as Dave flipped through the book.
"I like this one. Theodora the feminine form of Theodore from the Greek meaning gift of god," Dave read from the book. I looked up at him and smiled before adding it to the list.
We continued going through the book until we were finished the girls section. I laid down as Dave went over the list I had made. He scratched a few off before turning off the lights and cuddling up to me. The next day I was sitting at the island eating a bagel when Dave came down wearing a shirt with paint on it. I gave him a funny look as he grabbed a beer out of the fridge and started back towards the stairs.
"Why is there paint on your shirt?" I asked. Dave stopped, turned around and looked at me.
"I'm painting our little girls room. If the smell bothers you too much, we can sleep out there until I'm done. You're still set on pink right?" Dave asked to make sure.
