5 Months Later - June 7th

4 Weeks

Dave and I had stayed in the house and focused on Lachelle until he left for tour. We were still in separate rooms but we were working on it. We were going to therapy and talking through everything. We weren't seeing other people but we weren't really together either. There was no us as a couple for now but we were still an us for Lachelle. I didn't know if Dave and I would ever get back together or where we were but I was starting to trust him again slowly. That was a huge step for me. I was on my way out to visit the guys and Abby on tour since they wouldn't be home until the end of October. I had also done something completely out there for two of my best friends. Taylor and Abby had been trying for a year with not much luck and I offered the use of my "oven" to bake their "bun." Dave wasn't too pleased but they were. They had accepted and last month when the guys were on a short break from the tour, Abby and Taylor came home and did what they had to do and then I was implanted. They went back on tour and I just had to wait and see if it took. I was flying out mainly to see them but I couldn't wait to see Dave. Once the divorce papers had been signed last month, Dave and I had been really reconnecting. We were moving slow, really slow, and had just started giving each other quick little kisses before he left for tour. I got off the plane, grabbed our luggage and the stroller and then headed outside to the car that was waiting for Lachelle and I. As we drove I made funny faces and Lachelle and she gurgled and giggled as I did.

"We're going to see all your crazy uncles and aunt soon. I know you really just want your daddy though," I said through a smile as I looked at her. She made a happy little baby noise and smiled at me as her response. When we pulled up to the arena, I got out of the car and saw Gus waiting for me.

"About time you showed up. A certain someone won't shut up about you and that little princess you guys have," Gus said as he got the stroller out for me.

"I can imagine. He called me 20 times yesterday just to make sure I was still coming. Thanks," I said as he pushed the stroller to me and I put Lachelle in it.

"I'm glad you came out to visit. He really does miss you guys," Gus added as we walked inside.

"I know. I know she missed him but I kind of did too. I want to see my best friend though. I need to see her actually," I said.

"She is watching the guys rehearse. I'll go tell her your here," Gus said as we walked into a room. I said thanks and he left. I took Lachelle out of her stroller after getting a bottle out of my purse. I sat down and started feeding her. I rocked and hummed to her while she ate.

"There you two are. Hey boo and Oh hell there miss Lala. Oh your daddy can't wait to see you and your mom. He's been nervous all day. Even went and got you flowers but I didn't say anything. How are you?" Abby asked as she came into the room and sat down beside us.

"Hey girlie. I'd hug you but my hands are full and my lips are sealed. I'm pretty great actually. How are you?" I asked.

"I'm ok. Worried about you mainly. It's a lot to think about and I'm not there with you," Abby replied. Lachelle was done her bottle, so I put it down and put my hand on Abby's.

"I told you to go. You got out of work to come on this tour. You shouldn't waste your vacation on sitting around and napping with me and Lachelle. When are those boys going to be done? I kind of need to talk to you and Taylor," I replied.

"Should be done soon. Dave has an interview after so the other guys will be here before him," Abby responded with as Taylor came into the room.

"Brittany hey," Taylor said and walked over to me. He bent over and gave me a one armed hug before taking Lachelle from me.
