"Mommie can I wear this shirt today?" Lachelle asked as she pulled one out of her drawer. It was a black and read "The sass is strong with this one."

"Sure sweetie. Now you just need to pick bottoms and shoes," I replied. Today was my baby shower but I wasn't in the mood to go. It wasn't really a baby shower either. It was our friends and their kids hanging out and having a bbq. At least it wasn't at our place so I wouldn't have to deal with the clean up.

"Mommie I want to wear these," Lachelle said as she pulled out a pair of jeans shorts.

"That's nice dear," I said. I was sitting in the rocking chair not really paying much attention when I heard someone clear their throat. I looked up and saw Dave standing in the door way.

"How about I finish getting her dressed so you can go get ready?" Dave asked as he walked into the room.

"I guess," I replied and stood up.

As I walked past him he stopped me to give me a kiss and rub the bump. I smiled softly and then left to go put on my dress. I really didn't want to go. Everyone was just going to want to touch my belly, ask how I was doing and if I was ready for a second baby. I didn't want all the attention. It was great coming from the girls and Dave but I felt like Buddha with everyone else rubbing my belly. I walked into my closet and picked out a t shirt dress and put it on before I went and brushed my hair. When I was done I sat on the end of the bed and flopped back so I was laying down.

"I thought you were getting ready," Dave said as he came in. I propped myself up on my elbows and saw him go into the closet.

"I just finished. Do I have to go? I mean I get it's my baby shower but it's not like anyone is going to get me anything. Everything is going to be for the baby and I'm fine with that really. But there's a freaking person attached to the baby and maybe she'd like something other than a belly rub," I said back and then flopped back down.

"Yes you have to go. It's just a get together with our friends and their families. Oh I forgot to tell you Jacob is bringing his boyfriend and that guy is bringing a friend," Dave said. I groaned and then tried to sit up but struggled a bit until Dave pulled me up.

"Brett is bringing a friend?" I asked. Jacob had started dating a stylist named Brett lately and I had met him a few times.

"Ya. Jacob said they didn't want to leave her at home alone. I said it was ok since I kind of know her. Also uh you might not like this but Taylor said she had lunch with Jordyn yesterday and told her about the shower," Dave said and I glared at him.

"If she shows up, I'm leaving. I mean it David. I don't want her there. She'll ruin it!" I exclaimed. I tried to walk away from him but he stopped me.

"Hey calm down. She's only going to stop by, drop off a gift, see the girls and then head out on a week long trip with her new guy," Dave said as I glared at him.

"Ya sure like I'm really going to believe that," I said back. I pulled my arm away from him and started walking towards the door.

"If you think throwing a tantrum and causing a fight will keep you at home, you're dead fucking wrong. We are going now," Dave growled.

I had pissed him off and I didn't really care. I stormed out of the room and headed downstairs and saw the girls in the living room. I told the girls to get their shoes on and to get out to the van before I put flip flops on. I went to the kitchen and called Rumpel inside and closed the door after he was in. I then headed back to the front door after leaving some food out for Rumpel and walked out the door past Dave as he glared at me. I tried getting in the van but gave up after the third try.
