William's POV

What now!? I can't do anything! I am useless if I will just sit here and relax. What should I do? Ni wala akong ideya kung ano o kung saan naroroon si Leila.

I tried dialling Losti's numbers and Crystal's. Without any second thought, I also did called Mr. Neds. But they were all not answering.

Nandito pa rin ako sa aparment ni Leila. Hindi ko magawang kumalma, at kanina pa ako palakad-lakad dito. Still, not eating.

It's already 10:00 in the evening and all I can do is to wait. Still, I am worried. Where is she? What is she doing? Is she doing fine? Perhaps, I don't wanna think about the negative things but I can't keep myself from being worried about her safety.

In the middle of the thoughts, a sudden knocks caught my attention. When I was to open the door, I accidentally bumped a picture frame. Leila's wacky face when she was a kiddo. Cute!

I opened the door and twisted the knob. Walang tao, walang anino. Instead, an envelope was placed on the floor.

I picked it up and I tried deducing the envelope.

Indeed, this was a letter. Wow! Never thought that the user would used a signed pen 0.5. By observing the strokes, the ink that was used and the boldness of each letter, the sender is left-handed. Done deducing.

After that, I closed the door.

I went inside to check the letter.

There was a name written outside the envelope and it was William Myriad. That's why I got the chance to deduce it based on the written letters of my name.

A written message or perhaps a riddle was placed on a clean sheet bond paper. Deducing the paper? No need, it was just a paper, though.

"Leila's in my hand. What should you do?  Answer this riddle. How many times are there in an hour? How many numbers are there in a clock? Can you identify the mysterious time? The baby cries, and it's creepy. The ghosts appear, the bad spirits are free to deceive you. Bad though. Where floor is she? She is hungry, bring her food."

Geez! As I thought, Leila is kidnapped.

Reading this riddle again and again would probably lead me to that floor.

Well, I know that floor  already. The kidnapper is definitely crazy.

I quickly went to the elevator as I pressed the button of that floor.

After a minute...

I am now finally on the third floor.

Leila's POV

I don't know kung saang floor ito. Ang alam ko lang dinala pa rin ako nila Lyndon sa sariling building ng apartment ko, hindi ko nga lang alam kung saan.

Maybe kung nasa akin ang kopya ng riddle, masasagot ko ang sariling tanong ko.

Pero alam ko na nasa loob ako ng abandonadong room. Tinignan ko ang nakasabit na orasan at laking pasasalamat ko na gumagana pa iyon kahit napaalibutan na ng alikabok. Pero dahil nga sa alikabok, hindi ko makita kung anong oras na, nalaman ko lang na gumagana iyon dahil sa tunog na naririnig ko mula sa orasan na iyon.

Pinilit kong tumayo kahit nanghihina na ako. Wala na ngnng kain, walang tubig at puros pananampal at sabunot ang nakukuha ko kay Lyndon.

Hindi ko naman maabot ang orasan. Nagpalinga linga ako sa paligid at nakakita ako ng walis. Pilit kong kinuha iyon at pilit ko rin pinapagpag ang alikabok na nakabalot sa orasan.

Pero imbis na matanggal ang alikabok sa orasan, ang orasan mismo ang natanggal mula sa pagkakasabit sa dingding.

Leila!!!wag kang gumawa ng kahit na anong ingay.

Napa-sshhh ako sa aking sarili na pilit na hindi gumagawa ng kahit na anong ingay, baka mamaya akalain pa ng mga dumadaan na  may multo dito at baka mas lalo akong hindi makalabas dito. Kasi nga, baka matakot sila sa akin at tatakbo sila palayo.

Teka...

Naalala ko ito. Tama! ang MORSE! Ang code na ginamit ni Brent.

Pero di ko kabisado. At saka, di lahat ng tao nakakaalam ng ganong code.

Alalahanin mo ang pattern Leila.

Kinuha ko ulit ang walis at pilit na inaalala ang code.

H? Hmm.

*pok* *pok* *pok* wait? Apat ata iyon eh? Isa pa nga

"Kyaaaahhh" ugh! Kita mo na, unang subok pa lang may tumakbo na.
