UNSOLVED MYSTERIES: William Myriad

Dumiretso kami sinasabing computer shop nina William. Nang nakarating kami sa sinasabing computer shop nina William, agad nilang kinausap ang babaeng nagreport daw sa kanila na may kababalaghan daw na nangyayari sa mga computer nila.

Naiwan muna kami nila Venus at Marj sa labas ng computer shop.

Nalabingi ang katahimikan at di ko magawang magbukas ng topic para pag-usapan.

Nagulat na lamang ako ng biglang humalakhak at nagsalita si Venus.

"Congratulations, Leila."

Pareho kaming nagulat ni Marj sa mga salitang  binanggit ni Venus at the same time nagtataka.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, it was just a test." Lalo akong naguguluhan sa sinasabi ni Venus.

"Please enlighten us, what do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, I acted a while ago, trying to deceive William, but then I failed."

"I also deduced the both of you, and I know that there's something, the way he looks at you, the way he stares at you, it's full of love. I thought you would be trapped or you would be affected but then, you manage to control your feelings. And I am happy for the both of you knowing that you both treasure each other." Ngumiti siya sa akin.

Bago pa ako makapag-react, lumabas na ng computer shop sina William at Losti.

"A girl died a while ago because of that game." Said William.

Nakakatamad ng magulat kaya nagtanong ako.

"What exactly happened?"

"It's definitely between the server and the player." Said Losti.

"What should we do?" I asked.

"What if we try the game?" Suggested Venus.

"Are you insane!?" Marj screamed at her.

"No, I am serious."

"Why Venus?" Asked Losti.

"That's the only way to play with the server."

"She's right." Pagsang-ayon ni William.

"If the server serves us a game, we should play it fair for us to get a reward, without using any cheat engines to win against that computer freak." He added. I'll support you William!

"Well, you've encouraged me, then let's play it." Marj said.

"But what if the server would trace us?" I asked.

"We'll trace that server too." Said Venus na sinang-ayunan ng lahat.

Bumuntong hininga ako.

"I'll handle the questions that we are going to ask." Said Venus.

"Ready?" Tanong niya.

"Ready." Sabay-sabay naming sagot at pumasok sa computer shop.

Dahil na rin siguro sa kababalaghan na nangyayari sa mga comouter dito, wala ng mga taong pumupunta sa loob ng computer shop na ito. Maliban sa mga matatapang na humaharap sa bawat level ng game. Kumunot ang noo ko habang pinagmamasdan ang tatlong lalai at isang babaeng naglalaro ng sinasabing game of shadows.

Kinalabit ko isa-isa ang nga kasama ko at sinabing lumabas muna kami saglit.

Pagkalabas namin...

"What is it?" Asked Venus.

"I think one of the players inside...could be the server."

Natahimik silang lahat.

"Could you please tell me how the players die?" I asked.

"They were shot by someone from afar. Shot by a needle perhaps with a poison like what I did back then." Said Losti.

"Exactly." I snapped my fingers.

"What do you mean?" Asked Marj.

"The server could be the one of those computer freaks, if someone answered the server's question incorrect, the server would be able to shoot the player." I explained.

"Isn't it obvious, if the server is just there?" Asked William.

"Or perhaps, the owner itself is the server?" He added.

"Maybe." Said Marj.

"But why would the owner let her own shop be  affected  by that humors? If that would lead to.. you know pagkalugi." Napangiwing saad  ni Venus.

"Wait here!" I said at pumasok sa loob ng computer shop.

Isa-isa kong ini-scan ang computer and I was right. Lumabas ako at tumungo kina William.

"Well, I must say I am good as a detective, not totally." I said at napangisi.

"What do you mean?" Asked William.

"Later, check the computers when we enter the shop." I said. Tumango silang lahat.

"But how could we identify the server?" I asked.

"A person who is capable of using computers, of course." Said Losti

"Perhaps, a person who is capable of hacking devices." Said Venus.

"Or a person who stays too much time in front of computer." Said Marj. Yea!

"Or a person who stays at the corner or the most forbidden part of the shop." Said William. Superb!

"You all have a point, let's check them all." I said.

Pumasok na kami sa loob. This is it! Let's play the game.
