22: Kiss Me Again

Davie and Belle sat rocking in silent reflection watching the day turn over to night. Both realized that they needed a little time to reflect on what was happening.

Delia looked out the window and saw the girls rocking gently, enjoying each other's company. She moved to the door with a couple of mugs of hot chocolate and cloth napkin holding pralines.

"Hey you two, I had to grab you some pralines before Love went back and finished them off!"

Belle stood to help her mother with the mugs,"Thank you Mama!"

"Of course, no Sunday dinner is complete without a Praline."

Davie grinned accepting the mug from Belle. She looked at Delia and spoke slowly. "Thank you Delia, will you join us?"

"Oh no Mon Cher! Belle would never forgive me! She wants you all to herself, she's made that pretty clear."

Belle saw Davie's eyes light up with laughter and she flushed with embarrassment. "Mama!"

Delia rolled with laughter, "You two be good to each other."

Davie sipped her hot chocolate, accepted a kiss on her forehead from Delia, and watched her leave feeling a distinct change in the emotional air of the space. She turned to take in Belle smiling softly and returning her gaze.

Mirabelle spoke quietly, her eyes thoughtful, demanding Davie's attention. Deep sincerity and compassion echoed in her voice. "So, what do you think Davis? Can we be good to each other?"

Davie felt her chest tighten and her mind spin. A powerful storm of need and emotion and uncertainty washed through her. She wanted desperately to express freely, everything tumbling in her mind. Thoughts. Questions. Feelings. Davie wrapped her hands around her mug and rocked forward, leaning purposefully into the space between them.

"Mirabelle, I want to share my voice with you." Davie felt emotion building and threatening to eclipse her composure. "Will you help me? Please? I need you in a way that's hard to define." Davie winced lightly, "It might hurt. I'll do my best to be good for you too."

Mirabelle blinked furiously holding back a tidal wave of emotion that rose in her. A vague image of a stormy sea or river streaked through her mind's eye. It stung, emotionally. Unable to respond verbally in the moment, Belle closed the distance slowly. Her body trembled, she softly pressed her lips against Davie's.

Belle sighed with euphoria, they were perfect in every way. They tasted sweet from the hot chocolate and when a tear slipped down Davie's cheek breaking over their lips Belle pulled back just far enough to look into Davie's eyes. Belle smiled softly, easing the moment. She concentrated and worked through her response in a slightly stilted manner.

"Davis ... of course ... " Belle shrugged lightly in embarrassment. "I'm ... obsessed ... with you. You're my ... 'Crush,' Cher. Tell me. How I can help."

Davie nodded, relief and gratitude overwhelming her. "Right now, you could kiss me again."

A smile spread slowly across Belle's face. She felt pure joy at the request from Davie. Belle set her mug aside and stood slowly. She reached taking Davie's mug and doing the same. Davie was wrapped in her blanket and Belle grabbed the folds and tugged gently pulling her up to join her.

The cold air helped to drive the two women closer to create heat. Davie was delighted when Belle pulled her in. Her skin tingling, her eyes shining, Mirabelle moved. Mirabelle's eyes closed, she slowed her touch. Pouring herself into the moment, trying to experience every micro-touch. Belle heard herself whimper softly overwhelmed by the tactile experience. For a moment she thought she could literally drive herself to orgasm from Davie's simple, pure touch.
