20: What's Happening?
Davie's eyes wavered and focused on Belle. She came back to herself but still felt dizzy. Davie knew that it didn't have anything to do with the knowledge of the images in Belle's head. She released Belle's hand and she slowly began to prop herself up on her elbows.
Belle shifted back, matching her pace. Belle watched Davis carefully, she was so close. Belle considered the space they shared and it was driving her mad.
Davie's lips moved. "Mirabelle?"
Belle winced, she got no image, but she was no longer able to stop the building tidal wave of need and desire. She crashed into Davie. She covered her soft lips pulling and begging for contact and entrance.
Davie collapsed back into the pillows, stunned and overwhelmed. She reached up naturally and pushed her hands into Belle's hair, pulling her in and giving herself over to the connection. Davie worked to slow and soften Belle's pursuit. She drug her teeth across her lips gaining deeper access and breaking gently in stroking and filling Belle's mouth.
Belle whimpered and trembled with desire, she felt the skin of her breasts tighten with need. She continued to taste and explore Davie's mouth. Belle could not stop herself. Everything felt right and clear. The pain and frustration of the past week began to diminish and fall mercifully away. Davis was the center of all her thoughts, she became Belle's singular focus.
Davie continued to kiss her, balancing perfectly her delicate touch with passionate determination. She needed air and she began to break the kiss into a random pattern of soft, sensual kisses.
Belle continued to experience Davie's now soft, deep tongue kisses. She was spinning, ecstasy washed through her body, she felt lost to Davis. Without her normal anchors and control she shivered immersed in the unfamiliar and unknown. She finally relented and pulled back far enough to see Davie's face. She gasped for full breaths, hovering and looking into Davie's eyes trying to read the layered emotions washing through them.
This time it was Belle that intensely murmured into the shared space, "What is happening?"
Davie blinked, the distance between them was unsettling, she was at a loss. The longer she gazed into Belle's eyes the more she felt drunk with the excitement and fear of the unknown.
"I don't know Belle ... 'you're killing me.'"
Mirabelle desperately wanted Davis to confirm every thought and feeling she was having. She wanted the woman to reciprocate, tell her that she was feeling the same wonderfully painful need.
"Jesus Davis ..." Belle winced and pulled slowly away, her body screaming with frustration. "I can't stay ... I can't ... I have to move."
"Belle?!"
"It's too hard. I have to go. Now." Mirabelle pushed herself off the bed. The movement was sharp. "I'm sorry. If I stay here with you ..."
Davie heard the pain in Belle's voice, her heart seized with regret in causing her discomfort. "Okay. It's okay. Are you leaving?"
"Yes Davis. I'm sorry." Belle began to retreat from the room. "Text me when you're ready to talk about it ... the vision ... and 'what's happening' between us."
Davie nodded, half dazed. Mirabelle disappeared from her doorway and Davie sat listening to her collect her things and leave the house. She wouldn't move from her bed but her sleep was broken and fleeting.
Belle sighed with relief at the cool night air. She moved quickly to her house intensifying the sensation of the cool air. She realized as soon as she crossed the threshold of her front door that she would not sleep. She considered going back out to walk and clear her mind but instead found sanctuary in the cushions of her sofa.
