Chapter 68 - Vienna

It has been two weeks since I left Sage. Pero bago ko umalis, kinausap ko si Uncle Syl na wag muna niya ko hanapin. I did not tell him about the Magawen incident pero sigurado ako na sooner or later tatawagan siya ni Sage at ipagtatapat kung ano ang nangyari.

Dumating ako sa island the same night. I made sure na macacapture ako ng security camera in case ipatawag ni Sage ang mga skilled hackers ni Matt. Little did he know, I planned all of this. 

The same night, I used an eyeglasses and shoal me cover my face. Nagchange outfit din ako at nagwig. I bet they won't notice me dahil palagi ako nakatalikod sa view ng camera. I rode the ship back to the city and took the next flight out of the country using vampire compulsion.

It's fun deceiving people. I asked for a few thousand dollars from a rich looking business man in first class and he gave some money to me wholeheartedly. I also gave a fake ID to the airport personnel with different picture but they managed to believe that it was me. But the fun is over and I felt the guilt afterwards. I'm running out of options so I called Matt.

"Matt, it's me. Are you alone?"

"I'm alone. It's midnight here. I am guessing you're out of the country."

"Matt, I need your help, but please ayoko malaman ni Sage na kinontak kita."

"He's my maker and I can't lie to him. But I will try to hide your whereabouts."

"So don't say anything to him. Matt, I need a favor. I just need some money. Babayaran ko pag nakabalik na ako. Naguguilty na ako sa pag gamit ng compulsion para makalibre ng flight at food."

"Money?" humalakhak lang si Matt sa kabilang linya na para bang nakakatawa na humihingi ako ng pera sa kanya.

"Anong nakakatawa? Nakalimutan ko magwithdraw ng malaking pera bago ko umalis! Wag mo tawanan, Matt!"

"You're funny, Reichel. Akala ko naman kung anong pabor ang hihingin mo. Maliit na bagay ang pera. What else do you need?"

"And a house where I can stay for two months?"

"Asan ka ba?"

"Vienna. I'm staying in a hotel courtesy ng isang rich businessman. I am sure your hacker friends are tracking me right now so wala ako choice kundi sabihin kung nasaan ako.

"I'll be there. Just tell me where."

Matthias arrived in Vienna the next day. Nagkita kami sa restaurant ng hotel na tinutuluyan ko. I am so happy to see a familiar face in this strange country. Di ko maintindihan ang language nila at bihira ang nakakausap ko ng English.

"My men are looking for you right now. Of course order ni Sage. He is worried about you."

"Tell him that we met pero wag mo na lang sabihin kung nasaan ako. Hindi ko pa kaya makaharap​ si Sage. I'm full of unnamed emotions. Rest assured na babalik ako pag pasukan na."

"I told you, I can't lie to him kapag tinanong niya ako. I will do my best na hindi niya ko mainterrogate. As requested, may cash sa case na yan. May cards din in case you need it. Andyan din sa loob ang address ng isa sa mga bahay ko sa Vienna. The duplicate keys are there as well."

"Thanks Matt. I owe you big time. How can I repay you?"

"Just take care of yourself. I will keep my mouth shut, but if he ask me for details, I have no choice but to tell him the truth. My advice is for you to move to different places if you don't want to be found. My men are good and sooner or later, they will find you here."
