Shadowpaw was about to leap down from the tree but more rouges started to wake up. She dark furred female knew she would be no good in a fight but she had to protect her sister. She wanted to move against every muscle in her body that was holding her to the branch she was on and go and fight alongside Eaglepaw. She didn't want her last sister to die on her or even be taken away.
"Shadowpaw! Run! Get out of here! Go get mother and father. I don't want you to get hurt." Eaglepaw hissed quickly as she was being batted back by a bigger black brute fighting against her. The female knew what she was doing even if it looked like she was being defeated.
"Look Night! They are little clan cats. I wonder what they are doing so far from home but this is rouge territory now." The one brown tom that looked their age cackled evilly. His deep brown eyes said rage and hatred for everything. They were unlike the male next to him who wanted peace.
"Eaglepaw, I will be back. Survive! I don't want you to die either." Shadowpaw meowed and jumped off her branch onto the ground.
Her first mistake. She knew she was quick, but the rouges had the advantage. There were more of them. One of them, the one that wanted peace from the look in his eyes, ran after the dark furred apprentice as she tore down the narrow strip of trees trying to get back to her den.
Shadowpaw took a small look back to check on him. He was gaining on her and quick. His claws were sheathed which confused her. She didn't bother to unsheathe hers since she was just running. That was her second mistake. The brown male quickly pounced on her tackling her under a tree. He had his claws out and went to attack her stomach but there was doubt in his eyes.
Shadowpaw gained the advantage with his doubt and pushed him quickly in the stomach with her back paws. She didn't have her claws out still but was ready for a fight. She knew he wouldn't let her get by without one.
"Injure me... please. I'll let you go. Just make it look like I tried." The small and fragile tom whispered looking back at the female. He hung his head down not able to look at her.
Shadowpaw rose an eyebrow. The male was being soft for a rouge. They were suppose to be harmless and not care. She let her guard down which was her third mistake.
"Do you have bees for brains Mud?! Are you really going to let yourself get beaten up by Clan scum without even fighting her?" The deep voice growled. It was the same voice from the tom that held the destruction of everything in his eyes. That earned a small whimper from Shadowpaw.
"I-i wasn't! I was going to let her think she could beat me up then kidnap her!" The other male, Mud was his name apparently, said but his voice was weak compared to the other. He seemed to be lying as well.
Shadowpaw looked between them quickly. They didn't seem to be paying much attention to her. She could get a head start but she didn't know if she could outrun the two of them. Mud seemed fast. He could catch up with her, but he seemed soft. He didn't want to fight her. The other one, he was someone to be careful of but he seemed slower. She took a small step back and they both snapped toward her.
"You aren't going anywhere. You are coming with us. Mud! Go and do something right for once in your life and get her!" The destructive male snapped with harm and hatred filling that deep voice of his. It was like he channeled it out of his eyes and heart.
Mud took a few steps toward her. Shadowpaw had fear in her eyes but she wanted to help the poor tom. She pushed her head toward the ground slowly giving up. She wouldn't outrun him and she didn't want him to get in trouble.
"If you don't kill my sister, I will go with you as a prisoner. You would have to let her go as well." Shadowpaw said looking up to the two males. She knew they had no power, but it could help her.
"Grab her and let's go." The scary tom hissed again and quickly turned to head to the others. Mud looked to Shadowpaw thoughtfully before grabbing her by the neck just barely. She could wiggle away if she wanted to, but she wouldn't. She let the male drag her to the others without a word.

Let's be honest, who likes Mud? He's a sweetheart. He deserves some respect before stuff happens. Anyways, you didn't hear any of that. Well, you wouldn't have anyways unless someone read that to you. You didn't read that, that's better. I hope you enjoyed the chapter and more will be soon!
