Shadow threw the moss ball into the air. Tawny jumped out of the snow and grabbed the moss ball quickly. She held onto it as she charged at Shadow's middle line. Berry took the center and charged back at the other female. Just as Tawny was about the run into Berry, she leaped into the air. The bad thing is that Nut was quicker and jumped into the air and tackled her out of the air.
"And the moss ball now goes to Shadow's team! Come on Heatrumble's team. Be smart than that." Smokey announced from the back of Shadow's back. She put her front paws on Shadow's head to see it better as her tail flicked back and forth with excitement.
Nut took the moss ball and passed it to Feather. The small tom caught it quickly and ran next to Lark. The two siblings split up as they headed closer to the leader's den. Torrent was by the den waiting for the moss ball to be passed to him. Feather passed the moss ball quickly over to Lark as one of Heatrumble's defenders went to tackle him. The small and light tom was tackled and flew back in the snow. It was up to Lark to get it to Torrent now and she still had three cats to get past.
Whisk, Navi, and Juniper stood their ground. Navi headed toward the female that had the moss ball next hoping to advantage her sister that had been taken out with Feather. Whisk kept an eye on Torrent to make sure he didn't make a move. Lark watched the other female heading at her with full speed. She changed her direction to the slight left closer to Torrent. The small shecat had an idea but Torrent wasn't going to like it.
Meanwhile, Shadow was laughing with glee at Heatrumble's dismay as the shecat got past Navi. Now he just had Whisk and Juniper. Juniper stayed at the entrance of the leader's den and Whisk went to stay closer to Torrent. It just opened up Lark's shot even more. She put the moss ball in her paw, skidded to a stop and used her motion to throw the ball in air toward the den. Torrent tried to get around Whisk but it didn't work. Juniper watched the moss ball coming for her. She waited for the perfect moment and leaped into the air.
"Yes! Good job Juniper!" Heatrumble cheered but Shadow kept watching. He was cheering too soon. The shecat leaped up too soon and just missed the moss ball. It bounced off of her head and landed in the den.
"Oh whoops. Guess your little keeper didn't have it. Try not to cry too hard because you lost to my team again." Shadow laughed as she gave Heatrumble a playful glare. The tom made a funny face.
"Don't count the kits before they come. That will only end in misery." The tom said back to her.
"Shadow's team now has one point and Heatrumble's has none. The ball is now passed to Heatrumble's team." Smokey announced ignoring the arguing friends.
