"Shadow, do you need any prey? I'm getting some for Muddle and Pebble but I didn't know if you wanted any." The dark brown tom with dark brown eyes asked the dark grey female with light blue eyes. She nodded gently looking through all the herbs. Her three kits were asleep so she was getting some herbs reorganized and throwing away some.

One of the kits had already opened his eyes. It was the kit that was mainly white but has patches of black on him. His one eye was brown but the other was green like his mother's eyes. Muddle had named him Patches because of his fur. Shadow thought it was adorable. There were still eighteen kits without names but they were all still alive. Another half moon and they would be a moon old and be able to wander around the camp.

Night was acting all tough again. He came to see the kits daily but mainly to see his mate. Shadow wasn't sure if he didn't like the kits or was just caring about Muddle more. She hoped it was more caring than not wanting to see the kits. They could easily have some fun with the tom if they wanted. There could be a wave of fluff if they wanted to attack him.

The three kits that she was taking care of where two males and a female. The female was the smallest of the litter but had light grey fur, even lighter than Pebble's fur. Shadow couldn't wait for her to open her eyes. She bet they were going to be a pretty color and everyone would love it.

The biggest tom in her three was a dark brown but not as dark as Brown or Mud. She was glad he wasn't as dark as either of them but was still someone sad she had the tom to remind her about her most likely dead mate.

The other tom was a nice size and he had white and black fur. He was really light. He was actually the lightest out of all of his siblings. He was even lighter than his sister who was the runt of the family. It surprised Shadow but she hoped that he would gain some weight so he wasn't very light.

Brown came back with a sparrow in his mouth and dropped it in front of Shadow which disturbed her from her thoughts. She blinked her light blue eyes up at him and sighed.

"I wish Mud was still alive. He would love to see all the kits. If he was alive, there might be more but we never know." She mumbled biting into a piece of her favorite prey. She let out a small purr of delight.

"I thought so. He really liked you Shadow. He would have done anything for you. He trusted me to take care of you if anything happened to him. These kits, they are all wonderful. He and you would have made wonderful kits." Brown said before heading out of the den with other prey to deliver.

So some stuff about the kits and some about Mud and Brown. They are really cute brothers but Shadow is still the cutest.
