It was another regular day at the rouges' camp. Shadow was finally starting to fit in after only around a moon of being there. She hadn't seen her family or anyone she knew outside of this small little pack of rouges. Muddle was expecting another litter of kits so Shadow was put in charge of watching after her. They were due for another four moons at the most, but they were all still nervous for her since she was already much more plump than she was next time.

Shadow had asked Leapingleaf why the feline was so plump unlike her last time when she just had Mud, Pebble, and Brown. Leapingleaf said that she could already be in her second moon and none of them realized it till now or she could be having more kits. There was another possibility but it was highly unlikely. She said that they could be growing quicker than usual since Muddle is very strong at the moment. Shadow just hoped it wasn't that option because she did not yet know how to treat a kitting queen.

Shadow had been getting her hunting training from the males of the pack. Pebble tried her best to stay out of the way. She looked like she had a secret but Shadow decided not to push it for numerous of reasons. She didn't push Eaglepaw, but she might have gotten hurt. She knew Pebble wasn't doing anything like that, but she was still being cautious.

Mud was the one that tried to hunt with Shadow the most. She liked the company of the peaceful tom, but she was starting to like the rough company of Brown and Night that kept her on her edge. They also made sure that her fighting was doing alright. Little did they know that she was also getting special training from the dead deputy of SmallClan in StarClan when she fell asleep. It wore her out a lot, but she was getting used to it.

Shadow was also finally getting used to only being called Shadow. She missed her clan, but she knew that as long as Ferretwillow's brother was still in charge, she could never go back. She just hoped that they got a good leader next that would understand and let her back in if she ever did go back. She was still debating on that fact. She knew she did nothing, and neither did her family. She would go back and make it right one day. She just knew she had to.

Mud would come for Shadow in the mornings after she woke up from her midnight training. They would go for a small walk around their territory just to make sure there were no foxes or badgers intruding and then start their hunting. Shadow was getting better and would sometimes mess Mud up on purpose so that she could catch more. It was a small game for the two of them and they were enjoying it. She was happy for once in her life. She didn't have to sneak around rules or worry every five pawsteps.
