Shadow shifted uncomfortably as she looked at the pool. This one was in the broad light and she swore she just saw herself in it. Eaglepaw had never come to hurt her. She gasped as she realized what day it was in the vision. It was the day that her and Mud had just finished talking about the pack and their feelings. Mud. I vow on my life that if she killed you, I will kill her. I don't care if she is my sister.
"Watch closely. This is going to be the only way that you can prove you are innocent." Sunwish spoke beside the dark grey feline. It almost made Shadow jump but she calmed her nerves quickly. Would Night think she killed Mud? She hoped not but anything was possible.
In the vision the light brown feline had stalked to where Shadow and Mud had been talking. She looked down the path that Shadow had taken wishfully. Her ears twitched. She had heard what the two had said and now was going to get her sister back. She headed carefully following the dark brown tom. She knew that the tom would be weak. She saw it in his face and every time he took a step. He would be an easy kill.
Eaglepaw leaped up into the branches for some cover as she spotted the dark brown tom stalking a plump mouse. He twisted his ear as she shook the tree a bit but paid no attention to it. She had cornered him like a cat and a mouse. She unsheathed her claws waiting for the moment to leap from the branch and attack him.
Meanwhile, Mud was paying no attention to her. His eyes were fixed on the mouse. He got just close enough that he wouldn't scare the mouse that was nibbling on a berry but also close enough that he could easily leap and grab it. He flicked his tail once like he usually did before leaping, bunched up his muscles, and leaped into the air. The pounce brushed some dead leaves away which warned the mouse. It looked up and spotted Mud leaping and quickly scurried under a bush so he couldn't be caught.
"Come here you pesky mouse!" Mud meowed triumphantly as if he already had the mouse in his paws. He moved toward the bush to grab the mouse.
"And now your time here has come to a close." Eaglepaw hissed as she leaped from the branch she was on. She landed on Mud's back before he had time to respond. She squished the small male and pinned him down.
"Please! Don't hurt me!" He whined not able to twist his head and see who it was. He was scared and his heart was racing. He didn't want to leave this world yet. He still wanted to have time with Shadow and his family.
"You took my sister away from me. Now, I am here to take you away from her and let her see how broken I was without her." She hissed slowly digging her claws into the back of his neck.
Mud whimpered quietly trying to squirm out from under her. His eyes widened. "Eaglepaw! Please! You have to let me live! She will only leave if I'm safe." He said trying to reason even though he knew she would leave as soon as he was gone.
"Too late." She hissed and tore her claws down his spine leaving him to bleed to death.
