He lay on the ground, but only seconds before he heard Fire, then stood. "I thought I said I could take care of myself."
"You did.." Fire murmured with a sigh. "I admit: I ignored you, but StarClan knows what those two may have done to you."
He could picture the worried look in her gaze as she placed a forepaw on his shoulder. "They could've killed you."
The Doctor circled around before laying down on the dusty ground. "I think you're doing this so you'll still exist she I actually meet you."
Fire lay down next to him. "No. I'm doing this because I'm protecting you. I care about you."
"Please, Fire, could you go now?"
He felt her move away from him, hearing her sigh. "Please, don't wander off."
He heard her wing brush against the brush as she left without another word.
