evana's legs pushed herself away from the man, who wasn't smiling.
"of course i am. you think i'd let my guard off so easily? you're an easy prey just like your sister."
"how dare you?!"
evana jumped on the bed and shoved him but he was way too strong. with the blade she stabbed him multiple times on the back but he wasn't affected. it was like he wasn't human.
"just a beauty", the king sighed.
"stop! this was all vener's idea!"
the king put a fake shocked face on and leaned closer, his lips by her ear.
"i know. you and your bet, calling kihyun, i know everything."
"t-then don't hurt me. please! it wasn't my idea!"
"but you agreed didn't you?"
in less than a second there was red liquid splattered everywhere. evana's eyes widened in pain as her breaths started to come short.
"w-what?! no!"
she was dying.
who knew this would ever happen.

the next morning, vener and the maids all crowded the king's room, the king nowhere to be found. evana's lifeless body was left untouched. her blood seeped into the silk as the morning light glistened the dried up tears left on her pale cheeks. the long fingers draped against the edge of the bed, losing it's will to live. her curls laid out on the pillow as the blade in her hand was dropped on the floor.
