Mitch knew that he couldn't stay home from school for much longer no matter how much he wanted to, so he was a nervous wreck when his mom told him that he had to go back to school on Thursday so that he can get all the homework he missed and do it over the weekend. He's terrified of going back to school because of what happened after the party.

But Mitch has Scott back in his life now, so that makes things a little better.

"Everything's going to be fine. Don't listen to the other kids, if things do get bad then I'll come pick you up, okay? Only if it gets bad," Nel says before handing Mitch some money for lunch.

Mitch nods and takes the money from her, and hugs her. He grabs his back and walks out of the house. Luckily the school is only about five minutes away from his house so he doesn't have to take the bus.

Mitch makes it to school, ten minutes early so hopefully he'll get to class before anyone confronts him or tries to talk to him about what happened. He knows people will talk no matter what.

Mitch takes a deep breath before stepping into the school building,

Instantly, people are staring and whispering. Mitch can feel his anxiety kicking in. He starts looking around and is about to start running towards the bathroom but stops when he feels someone grab his hand.

Mitch looks over and his eyes light up as soon as he sees Scott.

Scott gives him a reassuring smile. "I was gonna call your name but you were too far away..."

Mitch bends down and hugs him. Thank God you're here. I don't think I can do this.

"I know it sucks but you can't let these people ruin your high school experience. You did nothing wrong. They're the ones who should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to you," Scott says.

"He's totally right Mitchy,"

Mitch looks up and blushes when he sees Kirstie walking up to them.

Kirstie smiles as she walks up to him and hugs him tightly. "Don't listen to them. We've got your back,"

Mitch closes his yes as he hugs Kirstie.

Mitch has been talking to both Scott and Kirstie nonstop the past two days. They've been keeping his mind off of the fact that his exposed pictures are floating around facebook and probably other websites.

"Do you have to go to your locker?" Scott asks, looking up at Mitch.

Mitch bites his lip and slowly nods, but he doesn't want to go through the crowded hallway.

"Well, come on. Let's go to your lock and then head to class," Kirstie smiles.

Mitch pouts but nods anyways. He reaches down and grabs Scott's hand to hold. He slowly starts walking with Kirstie and Kirstie pushes Scott since Mitch is holding his hands.

They finally make it to Mitch's locker so he can get his books.

"Do you need to get anything from your locker, Scott?" Kirstie asks as she leans against some lockers.

"No, I've got all my books in my bag. I won't need anything until after lunch," Scott tells her.

Kirstie nods and glances up when she hears people whispering, obviously talking about Mitch.

I always knew he was secretly a slut. He's always quiet.

"No, you bitch. He's always quiet because he can't fucking talk," Kirstie snaps angrily.

Mitc's eyes widen as soon as he hears Kirstie, and looks over at her.

"Excuse me?" The girl asks, crossing her arms against her chest.

"You heard what I said. Mitch is mute, meaning he can't talk. Maybe you should do some fucking research before you start gossiping with your friends. And Mitch is not a slut. His stupid ex-boyfriend got him drunk and took advantage of him. People are so stupid, God," she scoffs and shakes her head.

"Is there a problem here, ladies?"

Kirstie looks over when she hears the principal's voice and stands straight. "Actually, yes, there is, Sir... I'm sure you heard about what happened to Mitch this past weekend. These people are being terrible to Mitchy even though he did nothing wrong. It's not fair that he has to be scared of walking through the school because people are whispering and pointing fingers at him. Can't you do something?"

"You're right, Maldonado. I will definitely look into fixing this problem. Ladies, get to class,"

Kirstie looks over at the other two girls and smirks at them, watching as they walk away. She turns and looks back over at Scott and Mitch, who are both staring at her with wide eyes.

"What? I'm not going to let these idiots treat my best friend like that,"

"Wow," Scott says. "I would have never had the balls to do something like that."

Kirstie giggles. "I don't know what came over me," she shrugs.

Can we go to class now? I've got all my books.

"Oh, sure. Yeah... let's go," Kirstie nods at him.

Mitch blushes and he walks beside Scott as Kirstie leads the way to their first period class.

Today is definitely going to be an interesting day, that's for sure.
