Mitch smiles as Avi opens the door for him, letting him into the coffee shop.

Avi is finally taking Mitch on his very first date, and Mitch is surprisingly very excited about it. Although, he secretly wishes that it was with the man he really had feelings for... but obviously Scott doesn't like him.

"Ladies first," Avi says before following him into the coffee shop.

Mitch didn't pay any attention the comment. He doesn't mind being called a lady.

"Do you know what you wanna get?" Avi asks as he quickly hurries beside Mitch.

Mitch glances up at the menu and then he looks over at Avi and nods.

I would like a frozen hot chocolate and a bagel with cream cheese if that's okay.

"Of course," Avi smiles and nods. "Let's go get in line. Looks like they're a little busy today."

Mitch nods and follows Avi to the line, and then stands close to him, holding onto his arm. He doesn't like being in crowded areas like this. There's a lot of people that don't know him, and something bad usually always happens because someone doesn't know about his disability.

"Are you okay?" Avi asks, instantly noticing Mitch holding onto his arm.

I'm just a little anxious, that's all. I don't really go out much.

Avi nods. "Understandable, but don't worry. Everything will be fine," he assures him.

Mitch looks around for a moment and then starts to relax. Avi's right. Everything will be fine.

Unlike Scott, Avi can actually protect him if someone does mess with him.

"Go pick us a spot, okay? I'll be there once the food is done." He gives Mitch a reassuring smile.

Mitch hesitates before walking over and sitting down at a table near a window. He looks around nervously, hoping that the food won't take very long because he hates sitting by himself in public places.

"Here we go,"

Mitch looks over and smiles when Avi finally brings their drinks and food to their table.

"Window seat, huh? Nice choice," Avi grins before sitting down next to Mitch.

Mitch smiles and takes his coffee and muffin from Avi.

Thank you so much. I'll pay you back later.

"Nonsense. You don't have to payback me back. This is my treat," Avi smiles at him.

You're so sweet. This has been the perfect first date so far.

Avi grins. "I'm glad you think so. I wanted it to be perfect since it was your first date," he smiles as he reaches over and gently takes Mitch's hand in his own and holds onto it.

Mitch blushes as he looks down at their hands and then grabs his notebook.

Is it okay if I tell my parents about us? I hate lying to them. Mom would find out eventually anyways. She always finds out. Maybe it's just a mom thing.

"Wait, does this mean... we're boyfriends?" Avi asks, tilting his head slightly.

Mitch smiles as he looks up at Avi.

I would like us to be, if that's okay with you?

Avi grins. "Of course. It's more than okay with me," he says before reaching over and kissing Mitch.

Mitch closes his eyes and melts into the kiss.

Is he even doing this right? He's never kissed a boy before in his life.

"Fags!"

Mitch pulls away from the kiss as soon as he hears the word, and he knows that the word was being thrown at him and Avi. He looks around, trying to find whoever said it.

Even outside of school, he can't escape the bullying.

Mitch hears laughter, and then he sees a group of boys walking out of Starbucks.

"Hey, just ignore them..." Avi gently grabs Mitch's chin and pulls him into another kiss, distracting Mitch,

His first boyfriend. His first kiss.

Mitch is experimenting a lot of firsts today, he just wishes it was with the one he really wanted to be with.

Avi is great and really sweet, but he's just not Scott.
