Mitch groans as he wakes up. His arms and neck are sore from the position he's been sleeping in. "So, what'd I miss?" He asks as he looks up at his dad. "Are we in L.A yet?"

"We're almost here. We had to stop once though because Scott needed to use the bathroom, but that was only one time. You've missed most of the drive surprisingly,"

Mitch looks over and smiles when he sees Scott passed out beside him. He reaches over and gently brushes some hair out of Scott's face. "Sweet boy. Has he been okay?"

"I think he had a nightmare at some point, but he quickly got over it once he realized everything was fine and then he went back to sleep," Mike explains. "Other than that, he was good."

"I'm sorry I wasn't awake to comfort him. I was just so tired earlier," Mitch yawns.

"I told you that you should have went to sleep earlier," Mike chuckles.

"Dad, you know I was too busy worrying about making sure I had everything ready," Mitch groans.

"Well, we're almost there. I say we have about an hour left," Mike tells him.

"Well, speaking of using the bathroom..."

"Mitch," Mike laughs. "Hold on. I'll find a gas station."

Mitch giggles and reaches down to grab his shoes. He reaches over and gently shakes Scott away.

Scott blinks a few times before looking up at Mitch. "Are we there yet?"

"No, but dad says we have an hour left. We're stopping for a bathroom break. You gotta go?" Mitch asks.

"No, I'm fine. But I ran out of something to drink. Can you get Dr. Pepper?" Scott asks tiredly.

Mitch rolls his eyes playfully. "Of course," he reaches over and gently kisses Scott. "You're so cute."

"I'm not cute," Scott grumbles. "I'm a man. A manly man. With muscles! Look-" He holds out his arm.

Mitch bursts into laughter, but grabs Scott's arm anyways and squeezes his biceps. "Wow. So manly."

Scott whines. "I'm too tired," he rubs his eyes tiredly. "I'm tired of being in this car. No offense Mr. Mike."

"Mr. Mike? That's a new one," Mike raises his eyebrows.

"He's tired dad, he doesn't know what he's saying," Mitch chuckles.

"That's okay. I like Mr. Mike. It's better than when he calls me Sir. That makes me feel old," Mike says.

Mitch rolls his eyes playfully and then he looks over at Scott and can't help but smile at the blonde boy, who already appears to have fallen back asleep. He can't wait to get to L.A and see their new home, and he can't wait to start his new life with Mitch. He's still a teenager but he finally feels like an adult.

"Scotty? Text me if you need anything," Mitch says after waking Scott up again.

"Okay," Scott mumbles as he rubs his eyes tiredly, trying to wake himself up.

"You'll be okay by yourself in here?" Mitch asks, biting his lip slightly.

"I am not getting that wheelchair out again until we get home," Scott says, looking up at Mitch.

Mitch laughs. "Okay, baby. And I'll get you your Dr. Pepper," he says.

Scott smiles tiredly as he looks up at Mitch. "Thanks. You're the best,"

Mitch kisses Scott once before finally sliding out of the car. He shuts the door and looks over at his dad. "Can you get Scott a bottle of Dr. Pepper while I'm in the bathroom?"

"Sure, kiddo," Mike says before following Mitch into the gas station.

Mike ended up getting a few drinks for everyone and a couple of extra snacks.

"Dad, you didn't have to get that much!" Mitch says when he walks out of the bathroom and sees his dad standing with a bag full of drinks and goodies. "What are all these for?"

"I know you said only Scott needed something but I figured I would get you a few extra things since you aren't going to have a lot of food at your new place. I'm sure you'll go shopping soon but..."

"Dad, that was sweet of you. I appreciate it," Mitch smiles at his dad before walking out of the gas station with him and he excitedly heading back to the car. He opens the door and hops back into his spot, and then takes the bag from his dad and shuts the door again.

Scott looks up and raises his eyebrows when he sees the bag Mitch has. "Did you buy the whole store?"

"That was dad's doing, y'know? He's just being a dad," Mitch chuckles.

Scott smiles a little and then he cuddles into Mitch, watching as Mitch goes through the bag.

Soon, he'll be in his new home with Mitch and even though it's scary that they'll be on their own without any assistance from Mitch's parents or Aunt Claire, he's still excited about this new life.
