Mitch gasps as he falls onto the bed, next to Scott. "I can't believe we just did that," he breathes.

"I told you the wait would be worth it," Scott smirks as he looks over at Mitch.

"I can't believe that I ever doubted you. You're better than any man could ever be," Mitch says as he closes his eyes. Mitch giggles and turns so that his head is resting on Scott's bare chest. "Wow. Tonight was magical. I've had a long day today and you turned it all around for me, and now we're engaged!"

"I know," Scott smiles. "I can't wait to make you forever mine."

"I'm yours forever anyways but once we're married I'll be officially forever yours," Mitch says.

"I can't wait. You're going to look amazing in a wedding dress,"

"Wait-" Mitch looks up at Scott with shock. "You mean that? You'll be okay with me wearing a dress?"

"Of course. I don't care what you wear. You'll look beautiful in it anyways," Scott says.

Mitch squeals excitedly and hugs Scott. "You're the best husband ever!"

Scott laughs as he hugs Mitch back, holding him close to his chest. "Not yet. But I will be," he says as he looks down at the boy next to him. He can't believe how lucky he is to be with someone like Mitch.

And Scott will be walking down that aisle, one way or another.

Scott continued working with a physical therapist for months after he and Mitch had gotten engaged, and while he was working on learning to walk again, Mitch had gotten signed to a label. He was now signed to the RCA label and was working on releasing his first EP. Scott couldn't be more proud of Mitch.

Unfortunately this meant Mitch isn't home as much and they haven't had time to talk about their wedding.

The night Mitch was home, Scott took the opportunity to bring up their wedding.

"Mitchy?" Scott asks as he looks up from his dinner plate that is currently sitting on his lap.

"Yes?" Mitch asks as he looks over at Scott. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I just... we haven't talked about the wedding much. And... I know we don't have to get married right away but don't you think that we should at least start talking about it?" Scott asks.

"I mean. Maybe. I'm just... I've been a little busy," Mitch says.

"But, this is important. I know your EP is important too but..."

"Scott, we have all the time in the world to get married. And like you said, we don't have to get married right away. It's only been five months since you proposed. Why don't we just enjoy it?" Mitch asks.

"How can I enjoy it when you're never home?" Scott asks. His eyes widen as soon as the words slip out of his mouth. He really didn't mean to start an argument like that with Mitch. All he wanted to do was talk about the wedding and now they're arguing. Scott just wishes Mitch would care a little more.

Mitch scoffs. "Excuse me. Unlike you I actually have a job," he snaps.

Scott looks up at Mitch with hurt in his eyes. "I told you-" He huffs and shakes his head. "Forget it. Just... forget that I even mentioned anything. I'm going to take a bath." He places the plate next to him and reaches over to grab his wheelchair. He pushes himself up and sits in his wheelchair.

"Wait, Scott..." Mitch begins as he sits up. "I didn't..."

Scott grabs his plate and goes to the kitchen. He reaches up and places the plate in the kitchen sink. He sniffs before making his way to his and Mitch's bedroom. He grabs some pajamas. He bites his lip as he looks over at the bathroom door. He promised his therapist he would try working on his own this week. He's able to stand up completely on his own and he's even managed to take a few steps.

Scott takes a deep breath before slowly pushing himself up. He manages to stand up out of the wheelchair. He takes a single step before losing balance and crashing to the floor. He yelps before falling.

It only takes seconds before Mitch runs into the bedroom. "Scott, oh my God. What happened?" He runs over to him and starts to help him up but Scott pushes him away, but not because he's upset.

"No, don't..." Scott says. He grabs a hold of his wheelchair and pulls himself up from the ground.

"Scott?" Mitch blinks a few times as he watches, confused as to how Scott's doing that.

Scott takes a deep, shaky breath as he stands on his two feet, hardly holding onto to the wheelchair.

"Baby..." Mitch's eyes widen as he stares at him. "You're... You're standing?"

Scott looks up at Mitch with a proud smile on his face, almost instantly forgetting about the fight that they just had. This is progress. He's standing without falling. He might not be able to walk quite yet but at least this gives him some hope that he will be able to walk in the future.

"Help?" Scott asks quietly. "I'm going to fall..."

Mitch rushes over to Scott and holds onto him, helping him walk to the bathroom.

Scott sits down on the edge of the bathroom, feeling tired even though he was hardly walking.

"How are you doing that?" Mitch asks. "You stood up by yourself and you walked."

"I didn't walk," Scott mumbles as he looks down at his hands. "You had to help me."

"Who cares? You still technically walked," Mitch says. "Has Kirstie been helping you or something?"

"No. Just... forget about it. Can you get me my pajamas?" Scott asks, glancing up at Mitch.

Mitch sighs and then he turns around and walks out of of the bathroom.

Scott takes a deep breath. Things will get better, or at least, he hopes. It was just a silly argument. Couples argue all the time so why is this different?

Except, they're not a normal couple and if Mitch leaves Scott, he'll have no one to help him.

"Here," Mitch says as he places Scott's pajamas on the bathroom counter, as well as a towel. He looks over at Scott and sighs. "Call for me when you're done and I'll help you out of the tub."

Scott looks up at Mitch and bites his lip. "Can you stay?"

Mitch stares right back at him before shaking his head. "I can't. I have to work on a song..."

Scott rolls his eyes and turns so that he's no longer facing Mitch. "Whatever," he mumbles.

Mitch walks over to Scott and turns him back around. "Don't do that, Scott. Please, You know that singing is something that I've wanted to do since I was a little kid. I'm sorry I'm not home as much but I promise it won't be like this forever. Just give me a little more time, okay?"

Scott bites his lip slightly. "Okay," he whispers.
