Mitch takes a deep, shaky breath as he sits down in one of the chairs at the table he's sitting in.

It's been about two weeks since Scott and Mitch resolved their issue. Now the only thing Mitch has to deal with is the whole Avi situation. He cannot move on with his relationship with Avi still bothering him.

"Mitch,"

Mitch looks up and stands up as soon as he sees Avi standing in front of him. "A-Avi..."

"I was surprised when you said you wanted to talk. Scott know you're here?" Avi asks.

Mitch shakes his head. He feels guilty for lying to Scott about where he is at, but he knows that if Scott knew he'd been planning to meet up with Avi... Scott would be very upset with him.

"I want to talk," Mitch says. "Sit?" He points to the table.

"Okay..." Avi raises his eyebrows and then he sits down in the chair across from Mitch. "Talk about what?"

"Us," Mitch says, crossing his arms against the table.

"Us?" Avi asks, his ears perking up immediately. "What about us?"

"Not like that..." Mitch shakes his head, and then he reaches down and pulls out his notebook from his bag.

You're a really nice guy, Avi. And, I'll be honest... at first, I only said yes to date you because I was trying to get over the fact that Scott rejected me. I know that's a cruel thing to do and I'm sorry. But, we started hanging out with each other and I really liked you. But I knew we would never work even before Scott. You're just too protective and sometimes possessive. You never let me see my friends or talk to anyone. And now I have Scott. I don't know why you keep messing with me when you're the one who messed up our relationship by doing that whole dare thing. I'm the one who should be pissed at you still.

Avi sighs and looks up at Mitch after finishing the note. "So, you only dated me to get over a guy who rejected you? That's pretty messed up Mitch but... I have no reason to talk after what I did to you. I guess we've both done some pretty stupid things, huh?" He chuckles.

"Were you telling the truth?" Mitch asks, biting his lip slightly.

"About what?" Avi asks. "About the whole, dare thing?"

Mitch nods. "Were you telling the truth?... Or just covering yourself?"

"It was the truth. Austin really did threaten to hurt you if I didn't get those pictures. I still don't know why he wanted those pictures in the first place. Part of me thinks it's because he has like... some secret crush on you. It was a dare... I was drinking with some friends and I'm pretty sure they were trying to get me drunk on purpose so I would agree to do that dare and I ended up doing the same thing to you. I felt horrible for doing that," Avi explains. "But everything else after that was my fault. I'm sorry for starting that rumor about you. I was just so jealous that you moved on so quickly after we ended. I took it too far and I'm sorry, Mitch. Really."

Mitch sighs. "I want to be friends," he says.

"Mitch, you're dating someone else now. I don't know if I can handle that," Avi says.

"Scott is nice. You two can get along," Mitch tries again. "Please?"

"Mitch, I don't think Scott and I will ever get along after what I've done. But... I'll do anything for you," Avi says. "I'm not saying Scott and I will be best friends but, I am willing to be civil if he is. Which I doubt he will be but I won't blame him. He's very protective of you, I can tell."

"Mhm. But, I'll talk to him," Mitch says. "I want all my friends to get along."

"And, what about Kirstin?" Avi asks, raising his eyebrows.

"Oh," Mitch says as he looks down at his hands. "Maybe not all of my friends."

Avi laughs. "Yeah, there's no way in hell she would ever forgive me for hurting you, but I respect her though. She stood up for you. She's pretty badass," he says with a smile.

"Kirstin has a boyfriend," Mitch says, raising his eyebrows.

"Oh shut up. She's cute but I don't think she's my type," Avi says. "I'm... gay?"

"I've never been gay before," Mitch mumbles, before he and Avi start laughing.

"Right, Mitch. I'll believe that when pigs start flying," Avi laughs.

Mitch stays and chats with Avi for a little bit longer. He's surprised with how well they're getting along with each other after everything's that happened. Maybe it was just one big understanding. Mitch will probably never fully forgive Avi for what he did to him at the party. Avi could have ruined his life but...

Mitch would not have been able to move on if he didn't talk to Avi and work things out with him. He just hopes they'll be able to put things aside and Scott will be able to as well.

"Thanks for chatting with me. I had a really good time. I've missed you, Smalls,"

Mitch smiles at the old nickname Avi used to call him when they dated. "Me too. Friends?"

"Friends," Avi chuckles and hugs Mitch before leading the way towards the exit door.

"I'll talk to Scott," Mitch says as he looks up at Avi.

"I mean... it's okay if he doesn't like me. I'm willing to be civil but I'm pretty sure your friends hate me, with good reason. I'm not going to blame them if they don't want to be friends with me," Avi says.

Mitch nods. "Yeah. So, um... see you later?" He asks, looking up at Avi.

"Sure. So, can I have one last goodbye kiss?" Avi asks, biting his lip.

Mitch looks up at Avi with wide eyes and shakes his head. "No. I'm with..."

"Scott, I know. I was just kidding-" Avi laughs at the look on Mitch's face. "See you around, Smalls..." He smiles before opening the door and walking out of Starbucks, leaving Mitch with a smile on his face.

Now the only thing left Mitch had to worry about is getting Scott on the same page.
