"Girlll, its easy to love me now, would you love me if i was down and out would you stillll have love for meeee girlllll" V sang to me as she wiped off the café tables.
"I haven't heard this song in years" i giggled.
We were now at the Café cleaning everything off and making it look presentable. We thankfully passed the inspection and we got everything we needed in the delivery today, so far so good.
After i was done polishing the marble counter top i threw my rag in the polish bucket and walked over to V. She was swaying her hips back and forth as she began to wipe off the four flat screen TVs. I grabbed her hips and spun her around causing her to eek.
"Im proud of you" i smiled.
She furrowed her brows, her sleek tongue pressed between her teeth as she gave me a bright smile. "What?"
"..im proud of you" I repeated.
She pulled me down to her lips, giving me a chaste kiss. "Why are you proud of me baby?" She giggled softly against my lips.
I rested my forehead against hers and kissed her once more before saying, " i just am" with a slight shrug. "A couple months ago you were talking about doing all of this café stuff and now we're opening it in two days" i started, then continuing with, " and you have your own clothing collab that's dropping next week in over 80 stores" i said softly.
The air in the room changed as someone opened the lobby door. "Hey are you guys open yet?" A guy with long blonde curly hair asked. He was with two other guys, all in swim damp swim trunks.
Me and V both let out a soft chuckle as we sadly parted away from each other. "No im so-"
"Yeah" i interrupted. "Just for you guys" i smiled.
"Sweet" he smiled as he walked towards the counter with his buddies. "Holy crap you guys have so much" he giggled. "Ill have three pulled pork sliders"
"Ill have a bacon dog with a toasted bun please"
"Smoked Apple wood chicken salad"
"Alright ill be right back, its on the house" i grabbed two aprons from the apron hooks and threw one towards V. "Heres the remotes, you can watch whatever you want. You guys drink?"
They all looked at each other with bright smiles and shrugged. "Yeah what do you have?"
"Well right now we have beer and wine, but i can tell my brother jess to bring something if you want" I shrugged.
"Nah thats fine we'll just take a beer"
"Babe get them some beers Im gonna go start on the meat" i kissed her forehead and tied my apron as I walked back to the kitchen, immediately grabbing everything i needed and quickly prepping.
I looked up and seen V walk in with a panicked look on her face. "The grill takes 15 minutes to start up plus the cook time on the meat-- they're gonna be here forever"
I hummed a response and huffed. "Ask them if they smoke weed, Jessie's bowl is in your car still" i walked over to the veggie fridge and grabbed a bag of prepped salad and an apple. "Will you cut this up when you get back?"
"Yes daddy" she said casually as she walked away.
I popped my brows and shook my head smiling. " asshole" i mumbled to myself.

So within exactly two hours and 15 minutes i've learned that the curly haired guys name is Ryan and his friends names are nick and Xavier. I guess they were surfing but it started to rain pretty bad and the water got choppy due to the wind.
