I felt someone shake my shoulder interrupting my peaceful sleep and I know it wasn't Lauren because she was still softly snoring in the crook of my neck. I opened my eyes to a squint trying to make out who it was in the dark room with blue morning hues seeping through the white wood blinds.
"Hey wake up its time to start moving" Lindsey whispered
"Lindsey what the fuck the sun isn't even out yet" i said groggily due to my deep sleep
She giggled thinking it was funny when clearly it wasn't " Its 7am it's just cloudy, it's supposed to rain later. Im trying to beat the rain now get up" she demanded
Lauren's soft soothing snores that I grew to love suddenly stopped and she started to make small movements " HOLY SHIT" she yelped and jumped out of my arms. Once she realized it was Lindsey she relaxed and cuddled back into my arm, her heart was pounding against my side"Lindsey what are you doing?" She breathed out
She chuckled "Im trying to get her lazy ass out of bed, shes helping me move today. Sorry for scaring you.."
"This early in the morning?" She said with evident irritation in her voice
"Uh it's supposed to rain later. You can come help too if you want" she raised her eyebrows
"No she doesn't feel good" I kissed her forehead and rubbed her back soothingly.
Lauren giggled into my side and looked me into my eyes " baby I'm on my period I'm not dying"
"I know, you still need to rest and get better"
Lindsey pursed her lips " soooo you guys coming or?"
I groaned and sat up "okay Lindsey, I'll be down stairs in a minute just let me get dressed"
She smiled and tapped my thigh, the only thing between her hand and my bare leg was a thin sheet "thanks lazy ass" she giggled and pushed her self off the bed.
Once she disappeared down the stairs I laid back down looking at Lauren with a frown. "Well good morning " I giggled softly
Her irritated expression softened to a sleepy smile " good morning baby" she giggled
"Would it make you feel better if you came with us?"
"I trust you I just wanted to sleep longer" she giggled
"Then get some sleep I'll be back soon" I leaned down and kissed her forehead
"I love you " she yawned
"I love you too" I crawled out of bed and put on a pair of clean boxers and went to brush my teeth.
"Wait what time is your mom gonna be here?" Lauren asked
" the flights like 5 hours I think and I'm not sure if she left yet cause she hasn't called so probably later" my voice muffled by my tooth brush
"Well what if she comes before you get back?"
I giggled " Dev is gonna be here if you're here-- just be yourself" I spit and rinsed my mouth out. "I'll be back when you wake up probably" I smiled and walked out to get dressed.
I looked through my luggage for something rain resistant just in case it does rain. I couldn't find anything so I went to my closet that had a few jackets and jeans for when I fell asleep here drunk or Jessie made me stay and help him with his music. I picked out a Tommy Hilfiger anorak wind breaker that was red on top and dark blue on the bottom. I put on a white shirt before slipping the jacket over my head.
"Should I make breakfast for her?" Lauren asked
I giggled " yeah if you want. Or I'll tell Dev to so you can rest." I slid on a pair of dark grey cloth shorts and clean socks.
