Walk in the front door. I'm wearing a black and white flannel and ripped blue jeans by the bookshelf.
"Hey." She gave me a shy smile and I wrapped my arms around her in a tight embrace.
" Hey superstar" I returned the smile and took her hand. "Come with me."
I lead her to the kitchen to grab a drink and to meet Jessie who's currently upside down drinking from a keg.
He flipped down landing on his feet and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. " (y/n)! Hit the keg bro!" He covered his mouth and burped.
" Im good for now but uh this is Lauren." I point to Lauren and give her a small smile before turning back to Jessie.
They hugged and introduced themselves." Wait You're Jessie from the Neighbourhood ?"
"Ahh you caught me" he exaggeratedly threw his head back and groaned then flashing her a bright smile. "Well it was nice meeting you Lauren but I'm gonna go play beer pong with my buddies, I'll catch you later (y/n)." He reached his hand out and we did our special handshake before he walked off.
" you ready to walk off? " I smirked and held my red solo cup to my lips.
" lead the way" she bit her bottom lip showing her front teeth and the corners of her mouth slowly rose upwards.
I lead her through the big crowd and out the back sliding door. The party we were at belonged to Jessie's friend Marco, he lived in this sweet penthouse with a beautiful rooftop LA view. His balcony was kinda like a backyard, there was a pool and grass around it, Little lantern lights wrapped around the glass ledge giving the balcony a dim glow.
" This balcony is literally so aesthetic oh my god." The emerald eyes I seen earlier were now grey with green and gold specks near her pupil.
" yeah it's pretty sweet." I took off my white vans and socks, I set them aside and rolled my pant leg up. I then sat down on the edge of the pool and stuck my feet in swirling them in big circles. " come here the waters warm. " I squinted one eye as I looked up at her, the patio light was shining over her shoulder.
" so how was the get together?" I said turning my head studying her features.
" it was pretty cool, we went to this really chill restaurant and just talked about tour really." She let out a hmpf and looked down at her feet in the water.
" What was that for?"
"What was what?" Her thick eyebrows furrowed causing the skin in between to turn white and pink.
" The hmpf " I mocked
" I don't know I was just thinking about something."
" well then you know if you're thinking about it.." I giggled and turned to look down at the water.
" you're a real smart ass you know?" She bit the inside of her cheek and smiled looking at my side profile.
" yeah I know, so what were you thinking about?" I returned her gaze and looked her in the eyes.
" how this is all like a cliché movie. We met over a blueberry muffin at a café and you asked me to sit with you while you did your school work then you were all observant and told me about myself and now we're at a party secluding ourselves from everyone else with our feet in a pool talking about our day."
