It's been 4 hours since we opened up the Café doors, and well everyone is stoned out of their minds and buying a shit ton of snacks so id call the first day a big success.
Khelani even stopped by to say hi, along with her giant crowd of LA fans so our sales are insane right now. Honestly I'd say if business stays wild like this i can buy my mom a house in a couple months tops.
I quickly walked over to one of the tables and refilled one of the empty tea cups with infused Canna-tea. Then, making my way over to Khelani who was staring blankly at the tv with low red eyes. "Thanks for stopping by today" i said as gently squeezed her left shoulder.
"Huh?" She asked.
I looked side to side awkwardly and repeated myself, "thanks for stopping by the café..it really helped because all of your fans and shit" i shrugged, sitting down next to her with an exhausted sigh.
"Shit, I'm thinkin' about coming here every morning" she chuckled.
I let out a quick huff as I wiped my sweaty brow. "Please?" The bell on the door ringing caught my attention, so of course out of curiosity i looked over my shoulder to see who was coming in. It was Lauren, as promised earlier. "Hey!" I smiled brightly.
She shot me a huge smile and tensed up in the door way like a happy child on Christmas. I watched her walk towards me, both of us smiling at each other appreciatively the whole way. "Halo" she joked. "LANI!" She shouted once she noticed who i was sitting next to.
Khelani jumped a little in her seat causing Lauren and I to laugh. "Oh heyyyy!" She smiled.
"Im gonna go say hi to V..come with me?" Lauren asked me while giving me a look.
"Yeah sure" i slowly got up from my seat and stretched my back. "You gonna stay for awhile?" I asked khelani.
She brought one corner of her mouth up to a slight smirk as she zoned out in deep thought. "I might go home and take a nap, that damn tea got to me" she huffed, followed by a yawn. "I'll definitely come by tomorrow if I'm out here"
"Alright well ill see you then" I smiled.
"Bye babe" Lauren quickly hugged her before dragging me off to the office where V was filling out a daily sales report and looking over applications.
Lauren closed the door behind us and pulled down the shade so no one could see in the office. She brought me to her lips and nearly had me pinned against the wall, her hands clenching my shirt to hold me close.
I smiled into the last kiss which ended up pulling my lips from hers. "I needed that" i whispered. I kissed her once more before walking over to V and plopping down in her lap. I pulled her closer to me by her jaw line and clung to her bottom lip. As i began to snake my tongue between her lips to deepen the kiss, she pursed her lips and backed away a little.
"No, I'm trying to focus on getting this done right now"
I squinted my eyes at her and kissed her head softly with a sigh. "I miss my little asshole" I frowned. "You're all grumpy and sad all the time now"
She huffed and gently pushed my side until i stood up from her lap. " yeah well its kinda hard living without your mother when its so unexpected " she sounded annoyed with me so i rose my hands up in defense.
"I didn't even mean it like that.."
"Okay y/n"
"Oooookay.. are you hungry nena? I can go get you something" Lauren smiled softly at V and rubbed her back before leaning down to kiss her.
