Carolina

Chapter 1

It all started out with a song, a song I wasn't expecting.

"Sweetheart."

"Yes, dad?" I asked him over the phone.

"I think Harry Styles wrote a song about you."

"I'm sorry what?!"

"Yes yes! He performed a song on the TODAY show called Carolina, listen to it."

"Okay, I will."

I hung up and checked it out, he was right. Harry Styles did write a song about me, and I'm not sure how to feel about it. Not everyone knows about us or our date. We only spend a day together. I googled upcoming Harry Styles's shows to see if he was coming back to LA and he was so I bought the tickets.

"You okay Kathy?" I looked up to see my best friend Elijah, he kissed my cheek and went over to sit on my bed.

"Um, Harry wrote a song about me, " I tell him.

"What?! Play it!"

I sighed as I moved my laptop so he can see it. I pressed play and just watched Harry as he performed it.

"He wrote a song about you! Are you going to thank him?"

"I bought us tickets to his show here in LA."

"Now I'm excited" he smiled.

"I'm so nervous" I smiled back at him.

"Well, how do you feel about the song?"

"Well I love the song, and I think it's a compliment and it's no unexpected!"

"That's good" he reached over and rubbed my back "you guys haven't seen each other since the blind date right?"

"No."

"So you're nervous to see him again?" Elijah asked me, and I nodded.

"We had a great day together," I tell Elijah.

"Do you guys ever talk about a second date?"

"No" I mumbled, "I wouldn't mind if we went out again."

"Okay so when you see him, ask him out again."

"What?"

"Yes! Harry would love it watch."

I sighed as Elijah left just as my roommate came home. I went out to get dinner then went to sleep, but I couldn't sleep. I texted Elijah, and we ended up hanging out in the lounge of my building just hanging out.

"You have class tomorrow, Kat," he tells me.

I sighed "I know" I got up and kissed his cheek "thanks, Eli."

"Of course Kat."

I went back to my room and fell asleep.
