Chapter 20

Harry went on tour and Matt has been staying with me since and it's going really well so far. Harry tries to call everyday to speak to Matt and you can just see how much he misses his daddy.

"Come on buddy, I have to go to class"

"Kat! I don't feel so well"

"Come here" I kneeled on the floor as he walked over to me and I felt his forehead "hmm you're warm Matt, go have a seat on the couch buddy okay?"

"Okay"

I sighed and called my mom who I have been calling whenever I have a problem.

"What's up sweetie?"

"Mom, I think Matt's sick"

"Why do you say that?"

"Well I felt his forehead and he's a bit warm, I think he might have a fever"

"Yeah honey, I think he does. You have to give him medicine or take him to the doctor"

I sighed "I'll go email my professor first okay?"

"Alright babe"

After I emailed my professor, I looked up doctors and was able to find one.

"Alright buddy, let's go"

"Where are we going?"

"We are going to the doctors"

"The doctors?!"

"Aww it's going to be okay" I rubbed his back as we headed to my car "they are just going to give you a check up and I'll be there the whole time okay? I won't let them hurt you"

"Okay" he mumbled.

We got to the doctor and I held his hand while the doctor checked up on him "he definitely does have a fever"

"Is there anything I can do to lower it?"

"Makes sure he rests, drinks water and take him a cool bath and he should be better. If he's not, come back"

"Thank you so much" I picked up Matt, paid for the appointment then went back home.

We put Monsters Inc as he laid down on my lap as I rubbed his back to get him to sleep. I grabbed my phone and called Harry, I sighed when it went to voicemail.

"Hey babe, um Matt has a fever. I took him to a doctor and he's going to be okay. He's laying on my lap right now resting, just wanted to let you know. We love and miss you babe"

I hung up as I ran my hands through his hair "you're going to be okay buddy" I whispered.

I carefully put him in my bed while I caught up on some homework "Kathy?"

"Yes sweetie?" I rushed over to him.

"I'm hungry"

"Okay, let's get you something to eat"

I had him sat at the dining table as I gave him water and something to eat. I felt his forehead and he was still a bit warm. After dinner, I set up a cool bath for him just to relax and lower his fever. I put him on my bed and he fell right to sleep. I sighed as I then changed and got in bed.

I woke up the sound of my phone ringing and I picked up quickly so I won't wake up Matt. I got up and went to the bathroom and closed the door behind me.

"Hello?" I groaned.

"Love?"

"Haz?! Do you know what time it is?" I asked him a bit annoyed.

"I know I'm sorry, I just got your message about Matt. How is he?"

"He's fine now babe, I let him rest, fed him and gave him a nice cool bath"

Harry sighed "thank god, thank you so much for doing this for me"

"Of course love, we really miss you"

"Aww I miss you guys too. I'll let you sleep, love you"

"I love you too"

I hung up and went back to bed.
