Chapter 10

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen as I grabbed a cup of coffee.

"How did you sleep?" My dad asked me.

"Okay" I mumbled "how about you?"

"Okay" he nodded "we're going to head to the hospital in a few okay?"

I nodded "well I'm ready so just let me know"

"I will Kat"

I went back upstairs "Gill, you up?"

"Yeah"

I walked in "it feels weird being back home" I tell her.

"It does right" she tells me "like it's our home but it's not in a way"

"Yeah exactly!" I agreed with her.

"So how did you get home so fast?"

"I took a private jet" I tell her.

"So Harry hooked you up" I nodded "I'm shocked you're here alone"

"Well I did want him to come but I don't know I felt it was too early for him to meet the family and for him to come for a family emergency"

She nodded "I'm sure though if you asked, he would of came"

"Maybe" I mumbled as I saw Harry calling me.

I got up and answered as I walked into my room "Hey babe" I smiled.

"Hey love, how was last night and this morning?"

"Good good, my mom is still in the hospital and we're leaving in a few"

"Katherine! Gill! Let's go"

"Babe in fact, we're leaving now so I'll call you later"

"Okay love"

I hung up and went downstairs. We got in my dad's car as he drove to the hospital. Once we got out, Gill wrapped her arm around mine as we followed behind our dad to the waiting room. Mom ran first to dad then to both of us.

"I'm so glad you two are here"

I went over to grandma "how are you feeling nana?"

She sighed and grabbed my hand "okay now that you guys are here"

I smiled and kissed her cheek "how is he?" I looked at my mother.

"The doctors are running tests" she tells me.

I just kept my hand on my nana's hand as so many thoughts were running to my head.

"I'll be right back" I walked into the hallway and called Harry.

"Love?"

"Harry I'm freaking out"

"Why babe?"

"My papa, I-I don't think he's going to make it"

"Now why do you say that Love?" Harry asked me.

"Because... I don't know! My mom says they are running tests"

"I'm sure he's going to be fine Kat"

"But what if he isn't? I-I can't..."

"Katherine, close your eyes and take a deep breath"I nodded and did what he told me "be in that moment right now okay? Don't worry about that unless it comes. Enjoy being with your family, with your grandfather okay?"

I sighed "I miss you so much"

"I know love, I miss you too"

"Thank you Harry"
