Chapter 2

Today was the day, Elijah met me outside my building as we walked over to the student parking lot.

"Are you sure you're going to be able to drive?" Elijah asked me.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?"

"Because you're nervous"

I sighed as I got in my car "I'll be fine" I put some old music on like Cher, Michael Jackson as we drove to the small venue. I parked my car as waited in line until we were able to go in.

"So?"

"Eli, I swear if you keep asking me if I'm nervous, I'm leaving"

He laughed "I was just going to say I'm excited"

"Really?"

"Yeah" he smiled at me.

I hugged him "what would I do without you Eli?"

"I don't know honey, I don't know"

I laughed as we headed inside. We went to get snacks and drinks first as we went upstairs so we can sit down and relax for a bit. Then Harry came on, I took some pictures and some videos but I just stood there admiring him. Slowly singing along and dancing with Eli, I don't think he noticed I was here which is good.

"Come on! Let's go backstage" Elijah tells me.

"Eli! I'm nervous" I yell at him as he's pulling me down to the ground floor.

"It'll be fine Kathy"

We got on yet another line for the meet and greet. I kept running my hands through my hair as we kept getting closer and closer.

It was our turn, I kept my head down until I was close to him. I took a deep breath and looked up at him. He's eyes widened for a second as a smile came across his face.

"Katherine! How are you?"

I laughed "I'm good Harry" he hugged me.

We took the picture "um I was wondering if we can talk afterwards" I mumbled lowly to him.

"Yeah of course" he called one of his body guards and he took us to a car.

"I have my own car, can't I just drive and meet up with you?" I asked the bodyguard.

"It's safer this way for you two"

I nodded "thank you, what's your name sir?" I asked politely.

"Kenneth" he turns to tell me "you guys will be save here, I'm going to go back to Harry"

I nodded as he left "that went good"

"Really?" I asked him.

"Did you see how happy he was to see you and you were so calm"

"Well I was only calm because I was talking to him"

"You are so into him!" I playfully pushed Elijah.

"Hush!" I yell.

He laughed "so will I be having to call an uber home?" He asked me.

I rolled my eyes "no, he's busy anyway it's not like we can just hang out tomorrow"

"You never know, you don't know his schedule"

"True" I leaned my head on Elijah's shoulder.

I spotted Harry coming so I sat up as Elijah quickly squeezed my hand to show me he's here.

"I was surprised to see you" Harry tells me.

"Me too" I smiled "I figured since you wrote a song about me the least I can do is come say thank you in person"

"So you know?" Harry asked me and I nodded "you don't hate me or something?"

"No! I absolutely love the song. I'm being rude, Harry this is my best friend Elijah, Eli this is Harry"

They shook hands "so you only came to thank me?" Harry asked with a little smirk on his face.

"Well I also wanted to see you since it's been so long"

"And she wanted to ask you out on another date!" Elijah tells Harry.

I bend over and cover my face with my hands from embarrassment. I heard Harry chuckle.

"Katherine" I slowly sat up and moved my hands from my face "I would love to go out with you again"

"Even though I just died from embarrassment?" I asked him and glared at Elijah.

"Yes" I smiled at him.

We exchanged numbers "bye Harry" I gave him a hug before we walked to the front of the venue and got in my car "I hate you so much right now Eli"

"Why? I did just get you another date didn't you?"

"Yes! But you didn't have to do that!"

I sighed as I drove off "let's get food"

We got food as we drove back to the campus.

"I'm trying to get an apartment by campus"

"Really?" Elijah asked me.

"Yeah I'm tired of these dorms already. I want my own place you know"

"No yeah I get that, I'm just going to miss being able to just walk over to your building"

"Why don't we get a place?" I asked him "me and you"

"Are you sure Kat?" He asked me.

"Yeah fuck it why not Eli!" I smiled at him "at least think about it?" I asked him "I'm going to call my parents later today"

He nodded as I went back to my room and called my mom.

"Hi sweetie"

"Hey mom, I wanted to let you know I'm thinking of getting an apartment off campus"

"Really?"

"Yeah, I want my own space"

"Alright sweetie, well I'll talk to dad about sending some money to help you okay?"

"Thank you mom, I might get a place with Elijah"

"Oh how is Eli?"

"He's good but if he says no I think I'll just get a one bedroom"

"That sounds good sweetheart, maybe with the help of your father and I we can get a two bedroom"

"Maybe but it's fine if there isn't enough money for a two bedroom" I tell my mom.

"Are you sure Katherine?" Mom asked me.

"I'm positive mom" I smiled "I'll talk to you later, I should be going to work"

"Okay honey, have a good time at work"

I hung up and changed and headed down to Dunkin Donuts.

"Hey Kathy, can I have my usual" Eli smiled.

"You are wasting so much money every time you come when I'm working"

"And? I don't care" he smiled as I gave him his usual.

After my shift, I took a shower then put my pajamas on before I did some left over homework.
