Chapter 41

"Harry, can we talk about something?"

"Sure" he sat down next to me on the bed.

"It's kind of important to me and I don't know if I spoke about it before with you"

"Alright love, what is it?"

"I want to adopt" I smiled "it's been something I've wanted to do since I was young"

"So you us to adopt?" He asked me.

"Only if you want to" I grabbed his hand "but I really want this babe"

He smiled "let's look into it Kat"

"Oh! Haz! Do you mean it?"

"Of course I mean it" he smiled.

I sat up and wrapped my arms around him as we laid down on the bed "I would love to have sex but I sadly have to go to work"

"Damn babe" I laughed as he kissed him and got up "I'm meeting my new boss today"

"Love you!"

"Love you more" I yelled from the kitchen.

I got to work "Morning James"

"Morning Kathy, ready for today?"

"Yup"

"Coming James!"

I walked into his office to see Camila "Hi huge fan" she gave me a hug.

"Aww aren't you sweet, James told me a lot about you"

"All good things I hope" I smiled as we sat down.

"Yes of course! And I'm so excited to have you start as my assistant"

"Me too" I smiled.

We exchanged number and actually became friends really fast. She left but told me she'll call me later.

"James" I gave him a slight smile "thank you for this amazing experience, you taught me so much" I hugged him.

"Oh of course Kathy! Thank you for being an amazing assistant. If you ever need anything in the future I'm here"

"Thanks James" I gathered my stuff and said goodbye to the rest of the crew and drove to see Ellie.

"Hi princess" I kissed her cheek and held her close.

I took her to a park nearby so we can play then I dropped her back off and went home.

"Haz?! What is this?" I asked him as I put my stuff down and walked over to the dining table where I saw a bunch of papers laid out.

"Their are some adoption agencies I looked into" I turned to look at him smiling at me "some are closed adoption, some are open adoption and some are where we have to go to another country to get a baby or a little kid"

My thumb grazed across my bottom lip as I was amazed by what Harry did for me.

"Well what do you think?" He pressed his hand on my lower back.

"I don't even know what to say" I leaned my head back against his shoulders "this means so much babe" I turned to him and gave him a hug.

"Of course love, go take a look and let me know"

"Well I don't know" I sat down and looked at the different agencies.

"Do you the child to know it's birth parents?" He asked me.

"If she or he wanted to, yes" I tell him "but it would worry me"

"So no open adoption" he took the papers away.

"Well wait" I grabbed the papers and looked them over "read this" I handed it to him "we pick a couple and hope they pick us. We get to know them and be there for the birth and send pictures throughout the child's life"

"So this is what you want?"

"Yes" I teared up.

I grabbed the other papers and left the open adoption papers in front of me. He took them and started dialing.

"Who is dad calling?" Matt asked me.

"An adoption agency" I told him "did he tell you?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I think it's great actually"

"Really?"

"Yeah" he smiled.

"Oh I'm glad you're okay with this sweetie, it means a lot to me" I kissed his cheek "what do you want for dinner?" I asked him.

"Can we have dominos?"

"Sure"

I wrote down the order then called it in.

"So what happened?"

"Well first they want to meet us then their going to have a home study"

"What's that?" Matt asked Harry.

"That is when a social worker comes checks out the house and our family to see if we're ready to bring in a baby"

"What if they think we're not ready?" I asked him "we both have busy jobs"

"We will make it work" he cups my face "we're going to pass this home study okay babe?"

I nodded as he kissed me. I gave the money to Matt to pay for the pizza while I went to go change.

"Are you sure about this?" I asked him.

"I'm more than sure Kat, we will make it work okay?"

I nodded as Harry left the room. Once he left, Camila called me.

"Hey Camila"

"Hi Kathy, I just wanted to call you about my day tomorrow"

"Okay let me just grab my notepad" I grabbed my notepad and a pen "okay, what do you need me for?"

"I am having a photo shoot tomorrow, I would like to have you bring me a smoothie and some snacks. Just like sour patch, lays chips"

"Okay, what type of smoothie do you want?"

"Something with banana or strawberry. Anything fruity really would be fine"

"Alright, is that all?" I asked her.

"Yeah, if I need anything I will let you know and I'll send you the address in a bit"

"Okay thanks Camila" I hung up and went to the kitchen to eat with my boys.
