Chapter 13

After I found out about Harry, I went back home because I didn't know what to do. I needed to be home, I needed to talk to my mother.

I wrapped my arms around a mug of tea as my dad walked in "so you're only staying for a week?"

"Yeah, I'm still waiting back from that job interview"

"Why are you home sweetheart?" My dad asked me.

I sighed "well I'm waiting to tell mom but she'll probably tell you" I took a sip of the tea "Harry been keeping a secret from me" I tell my father "he has a five year old son and I don't know how I feel about the whole situation"

"Well tell me about his son and his mother and all that"

I nodded "his son is named Matt and his mom isn't in the picture. The whole pregnancy was a secret because she was famous and wanted to focus on her career so Harry has been raising Matt himself"

"Sounds tough" my dad says.

"Yeah" I mumbled "he could of told me dad but..."

"Sweetie, imagine how hard it was for him to tell you about his son. He put himself out there because he trusts you and he doesn't want to lose you. He must be out of his mind right now not hearing from you, waiting for you. I saw how you two were when you were here for papa's funeral. You two are in love even if you don't know it yet. Yes you have only been together for what five months but I see how happy he makes you Kathy. I see how happy you make him, that's is something to hold on to"

I smiled and grabbed my dad's "thank you" I kissed his cheek and book a flight back.

"Please tell mom"

"Of course, I will"

I walked up to the door and knocked "Hello, how can I help you?"

"Hi Sarah, I was here a few days ago. I'm looking for Harry" I tell her.

"He's in his studio" I walked in "I'll show you the way"

I followed her then she left as I walked "Katherine, what are you doing here?" Harry asked me.

"I have a few things to say and I don't want you to interrupt me okay?"

"Okay" Harry got up and nodded.

"I was mad about you not telling me about Matt but I get it Harry okay? I do, you must trust me a lot to tell me about him and I thank you for trusting me. I don't know what the future holds for us two or even the three of us but I know I love you" I said with tears streaming down "I love you and I want to be with you no matter what situation is. I know how happy you make me and how comfortable I feel with you. I know how you make me feel when I'm around you, this is new to be but I want to be with you and get to know Matt more"

Harry walked up to me, cupped my face and pressed his lips against mine "I love you too babe, I love you so much" he smiled and hugged me.

"Are you writing new music?" I asked him as I wiped my tears.

"A little bit yeah, can you please tell Sarah to come here"

"Um yeah sure" I mumbled as I walked out of the studio and found Sarah "Sarah, Harry wants to see you in his studio" I tell her.

"Okay, can you just watch Matt?"

"Yeah of course" I nodded and sat down "what are you playing?" I sat on the floor with him.

"I'm playing with my cars"

"Can I play with you?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Matt I have to go, I'll see you later"

"Bye Sarah!" He hugged her then went back to playing with me.

"Love..." I looked up at him and he smiled "having fun?"

"Actually yes" I smiled "what's up?"

"I was going to make some food, you want some?"

"Yeah sure, thanks babe"

He nodded and left me and Matt to keep playing.

"Kathy"

"Yes Matt?"

"How old are you?" Matt asked me.

"I'm 20 years old" I tell him.

"Do you have any siblings?"

"I have an older sister"

"Daddy, when can I get a brother or a sister?"

"Soon buddy" Harry tells me.

I laughed "your daddy has to find someone he loves and wants to marry" I tell Matt.

"But don't you love him?"

I smiled "yes I do love your daddy but marriage is a very serious commitment. You have to be sure you want to marry the other person" I tell Matt.

"Food is ready"

I got up "I needed this" I laughed.

"Too serious of a talk?"

"Yes, I shouldn't be talking about marriage with a five year old lmao"

"Well you're just getting started, he asks a lot of questions"

"Oh boy"

Harry left and handed Matt his food so he can eat "Hey babe"

"Yeah?"

"Will it be alright if I spend the night?" I asked him "or would that be inappropriate?"

"No I would love you too but I don't want Matt getting the wrong idea of us you know and we're still in our like honeymoon phase"

"Honeymoon phase? Really? I think that ended"

"Did it?"

"I'm afraid so"

"Damn then it's really over for us isn't it?"

"I'm afraid so"

"Daddy"

I laughed as he kissed my cheek before checking on Matt. Once I was done, I cleaned up after myself. I heard my phone ring and answered.

"Hello?"

"Is this Katherine?"

"Yes this is she, how may I help you?" I asked.

"Yes Hi, this is Thomas and I just wanted to call to say you got the job"

"Oh my god! Really?! Thank you so much sir"

"Will you be able to come in tomorrow?"

"Yes of course sir! Thank you!"

"I'll see you tomorrow"

"See you tomorrow"

I hung up and I began to jump up and down "what just happened?" Harry chuckled as he had Matt in his arms.

"I got the job babe! I got it!"

"That's my babe!" I hugged both of them and kissed Harry.

"I should head home and get ready for tomorrow, I'll text you okay?"

"Okay love goodnight"

"Goodnight, goodnight Matt"

"Goodnight Kathy" I waved goodbye to him as I left and went home.
