Chapter 12

"You need to talk to him Kat"

I sighed "I know but it's like I just don't understand why he won't bring me to his place like is he hiding something"

"You need to talk to him" Elijah told me again.

"I will" I sighed "I'll talk to him when he gets back"

"When does he get back from London?"

"Next week" Harry went to Hawaii without me then went to London to record a scene for James Corden.

"How have you guys been?"

"Good but we haven't as talked as much as we used to and I think that's because he won't tell me what he's hiding"

"Maybe he just needs to trust you"

"What do you mean? Of course I trust him Eli"

"Maybe you need to tell him that"

I nodded as we went back to my apartment to watch some movies.

"Are you sure you don't want me to pick you up?" I asked Harry.

"Yeah I'm sure babe, I'll let you know when I landed"

"Haz"

"Yeah babe?"

"I um... we are okay right?" I asked him.

"Yeah why wouldn't we be?"

"I just feel like we're drifting, can you please come over maybe later?"

"Yeah sure"

I went to an interview then went back home as Harry called me.

"Hey Harry"

"Hey Katherine, would it be alright if I come over now?"

"Yeah of course"

"Okay love, be right there"

I started making dinner as there was a knock on the door.

"Hey babe" I smiled.

He walked in and I closed the door and turned to him "is everything okay?" I asked him as I crossed my arms.

He grabbed my hand and pulled me over to the couch "we need to talk"

"Okay Haz, you're worrying me" I tell him.

"Well I'm a bit nervous myself"

I held his hand "you can trust me Harry okay?"

He nodded and kissed my hand "there's a reason why I haven't invited you to my place"

"Ok"

"Could you come with me?"

"Yeah um good thing I just finished cooking"

I turned off the lights and headed out with Harry. I was so nervous in the car and so was he.

"It's better if I show you" he tells me "this is really big for me Kat, I want you to know that"

"Okay"

We arrived to this huge secluded house "this place is beautiful" I tell him.

"I'm glad you like it so much" he smiled.

We got out of the car and he held my hand tight in his "Harry, I'm a bit nervous" I tell him.

"I am too"

We walked inside and it looked like a normal house so far. He let go of my hand and turned on the kitchen/living room lights.

"Harry?" I heard a girl's voice.

I didn't know what to think so I just watched a young woman came out and over to Harry.

"Hey, you can go thank you Sarah"

"Of course, have a good night"

This Sarah girl left and I was still confused.

"Daddy?"

A little boy came out and ran over to Harry. He picked him up and turned over to me. He has a son?! He had a son this whole time and didn't tell me anything but yet he looks so cute with a child.

"Katherine" they walked over to me "I want you to meet my son Matt. Matt this is my friend Katherine"

"Hi" Matt said shyly.

I smiled "Hi Matt, it's nice to meet"

"Let's get you in bed" Harry walked away.

I didn't know what to think, am I pissed? Or angry? Or do I understand him? A few minutes later Harry came out.

"So that's why I didn't invite you in" he tells me "love please say something"

"I-I don't know how I feel" I tell him honestly "I'm pissed at you for not telling me but then I kind of understand why you didn't tell me. I just don't know"

"You want water?"

"And something to eat please"

He handed me a water bottle and quickly made me something to eat. It was quiet, I still didn't know what to think.

"How old is Matt?" I asked him.

"About five years old" he tells me.

"So what you had him when you were 19?"

"Yeah"

"And the mom?!"

"Well she didn't want him and she wanted to focus on her career so I took him and raised him with a few help from friends and family"

"And the media?" I asked him "no one knows about this?"

"No one, his mother didn't even tell anyone, it's a secret and will be until he's older"

"Then what?" I asked him "when he's older, you can publicly say you have a son you have been hiding for what 15 years? What about his mother? What if his mother wants to take him back? What if she wants to you and Matt back in her life?" I asked him.

"Love" he sighed and tried to reach for my hand but I pulled away.

"Harry, I am 20 years old" I tell him "I-I'm not ready for a family"

"Katherine, I'm not asking anything of you" he tells me "I'm not asking you to marry me or be Matt's mom. All I want to say before you probably leave is that Matt is my son and I want to be with you but if you don't want to be with me because of this I will understand"

"I need time" I mumbled.

"Of course, I'll call a cab for you"

I nodded. I got in the cab and went home. Once I got home, I ate again then fell asleep.
