Alex had to take Kayden back to her Mom after her interview. It was just too many people trying to take snapshots of Kayden. But what did she expect? She was now in her apartment in Vegas, with Carter watching her drink her emotions away.
"You just gonna watch me the whole night?". Alex peeked at him through her wavy hair.
"Nah. Just until you pass out". He remarked.
She rolled her eyes.
"Why? So you can tell Alice on me?". She chuckled.
"You know celebrities like you annoy me". He sounded disgusted.
"Celebrities like me huh? Well security guards who think they know shit about me, annoy me". She bit back.
"You walk around here like time revolves around you, then you expose that girl on national tv. Where I come from that's fucked up". He explained.
"I say what I want, if you can't handle that, then that's on you. And if your so worried about her, why the hell don't you go see if you can be her body guard. She might like that". Alex kept drinking.
"You shouldn't drink that, it's bad for your kidneys". He walked over picking up the bottle of Hennesy.
"Aw, does Mr. Carter care about me now, after he just said I annoy him?". Alex slurred.
"I don't. I'm just saying". He put the bottle back down.
"Hm. Sure. You can't resist not caring". Alex smirked.
"And why is that?". Carter like her confidence.
"Because you and I both know I can't get off this couch, and I'm not going to sleep no time soon. So you have to care". Alex slurred.
"Hm. That's a good plan. If only I really did care". Carter walked out of the door.
Alex threw a pillow aiming at the door for it only to land next to her.
"I'm so wasted". Alex giggled to herself.
She was bored and sleep was not an option. She dragged herself to the bathroom and turned on the shower. She slid down to the floor and pulled her knees to her chest. Her head down in her lap she drifted off.
Alex was in a dark place. Then she saw Kayden. He was running away. She kept running after him. As he ran he got older, then he stopped. He turned around to Alex. He was an adult now.
"Why didn't you catch me!". He yelled at her.
Alex shot up the bathroom was steamy. She got up and got into the shower.
"Dammit!". She cursed having the same occurring dream.
She got out of the shower and put on some clothes.
She called her true bestfriend Jordan.
"Hello?". Jordan answered.
"I want to go somewhere". Alex looked at the time to see it was nearly midnight.
"Girl where we supposed to go at damn near midnight?" Jordan retorted.
"I don't know, let's go to the movies and see Wish Upon". Alex shrugged taking some Advil.
"Ok just come to my house and I'll be ready". Jordan instructed.
"Ok". Alex hung up the phone.
Jordan had been Alex's true best friend since before she became famous. Jordan stuck by her and she didn't see the Cherry Red side of Alex, she saw the goofy Alex, the Alex that was just dancing for fun.
Alex grabbed her car keys considering that she lets her driver go home after 6pm. She walked to the front door and opened it forgetting Carter was standing there.
"And your going where?". Carter folded his arms.
"To the movies with my friend Jordan". Alex folded her arms.
"Alice told me not to let you go anywhere". He informed her.
"Well you can come too, it's whatever". Alex shrugged.
"No. We are staying here. And Jordan can stay where he is at". Carter stated firmly.
Alex smirked at the fact that Carter thought Jordan was a guy.
"Ok". Alex smirked.
Carter smiled thinking he defeated Alex.
She closed the front door and walked over to the window.
She got onto the fire escape and climbed down.
"How he thought he was gonna keep me in this house all night. I was a teenager once, I know how to get out a window and climb down a firescape". Alex murmured to herself.
She got down to the parking lot and got to her car.
She slid into the passenger seat and got her phone out. She called Carter.
"Last chance your coming or not?". She smirked.
"No and your not going anywhere either". He sounded sure of himself.
"You sure? Because I'm already in the car waiting on you". Alex giggled.
"What!? I'm on the way!". He began running from the fourth floor.
Alex hung up the phone and waited smugly.
After a couple minutes Carter showed up and went to the driver's side of the car.
"Get out!". He demanded out of breath.
"No. You got two options. Either you me and Jordan go to the movies and then get something to eat or you stay her and me and Jordan go". Alex smirked.
"Yo! Get out the car!". He yelled.
"Shutup before you wake my neighbors". Alex hissed.
"Just get the hell out!". He whispered angrily.
Alex rolled her eyes and put the car in drive.
"I'm bout to leave because this movie starts in about thirty minutes". Alex was beginning to get tired of fighting with him.
"Man open the fucking door". He yelled walking over to the passenger side and tried to sit in the front.
"No. Get in the back, Jordan js sitting up here". She smiled sweetly.
He looked at her like he could kill her.
He got in the backseat, pouting.
Alex just chuckled to herself.
