Alex finished her interview stonefaced. She was secretly forming a plan.

"Thank you, for joining us today Alex we really appreciate it and have a lit day New York!". Angel closed.

Alex thanked them for having her on the show and gathered Kayden's toys.

She went back to her dressing room and Nick was on her trail.

"What happened in there? You were fine and happy then you got a notification and went all stone faced". Nick asked.

"It's nothing, everything is fine". Alex lied.

She continued gathering her things and headed to the car, with Kayden on her hip.

She strapped Kayden in his car seat and dialed Jay' s number.

"Hello?". He answered.

"Hey uhm-the interview is over, wanna meet me and Kay for lunch?". She asked sweetly.

"Sure where?". He asked.

She heard shuffling in the background.

"Uhm, I saw this pizza place on my way here, let's meet there, I'll send you the address". She planned.

"Alright see you there". He agreed.

She gave her driver the address and they were on their way.

"Are you sure your ok, you look like your turning red". Nick looked concerned.

"I told you, I'm fine". Alex lied.

"Alex you can tell me". Nick put his hand on her shoulder.

"No Nick, you will just try and calm me down and I think I need to be a little angry right now". Alex bounced her leg uncontrollably.

They arrived at the pizza place and Alex got out with Kayden. She grabbed her purse and slammed the door.

Nick put the window down.

"Do you want me to come with you?". Nick asked.

"No! I need to do this on my own, I'm sick of him treating me and my son like shit and putting us second. It ends today". Alex spat.

She went inside and got a table for three. She put Kayden in the booster seat.

"Mommy otay?". He asked holding her hand.

"No Daddy is telling lies". Alex explained.

Kayden lost interest in the conversation and began coloring.

"Hi my name is Alison and I'll be your server for today. What can I get you two to drink?". The bubbly waitress asked.

"Uh-do you have a fruit juice?". Alex questioned.

"Yes ma'am we do, we have apple, orange, grape, strawberry, and mixed fruit". She listed.

"Ok for him, a mixed fruit juice and a sprite with no ice for me". Alex ordered.

"Ok, I'll be right out with the drinks". Alison smiled.

Just as she left Jay walked up and took a seat.

"Hey how was the funeral?". Alex asked with a fake sad smile.

"It was a good service you know, they really helped my family get some closure". He described.

"Good. So what time did it end?". Alex asked.

"Just a few minutes ago, I was actually leaving when you called". He lied.

Alex took out her phone and pulled up the picture. Jay was wearing the same outfit as he was now and the location was in Manhattan.

"So what church was it at?". Alex questioned.

"Brooklyn Baptist Church". He answered.

Alison came back with the drinks and took Jay's drink order.

"It was in Brooklyn?". Alex cocked her eyebrow up.

"Yeah, the church was nice, in my Aunt's neighborhood". He lied.

"That's nice". Alex took a sip of her drink.

Alison came back with Jay's drink and took the orders for food.

Alex got Kayden mozzarella sticks and a pepperoni pizza for herself. Jay order a supreme pizza.

"How was your morning". He asked.

"It was fun. Until I got a notification". She folded her arms.

"What notification?". He frowned.

She pulled up the picture and slid the phone to him.

"Alex I uhm-I can explain". He looked nervous.

"No, I know what happened! You blew your son off for a bitch!". She spat.

"She called and I knew you wouldn't want her around Kay". He pleaded.

"So you cancel on your son?!". She frowned.

"I didn't want too". He lied.

"So this bitch held a gun to your head?!". She was trying to keep her voice down.

"No!". He looked conflicted.

"Then why?!". She yelled.

"I don't know". He sighed.

"Well when you figure this shit out me and your son will be waiting". Alex picked up her purse and Kayden. She went to Alison and asked for their food to go. She paid for their food and left. She went outside and Nick was waiting.

"Didn't I tell you to leave?". She asked.

"Glad I didn't listen". He chuckled.

He got into the car and Alex strapped Kayden in. They drive back to the hotel in silence. When the got back to the hotel, Kayden was sleeping. Alex got all their stuff and went up to the room. She took Kayden's clothes off and changed his diaper.

"This boy will sleep threw a storm". She smiled down at him.

She put her hair in a messy bun and ate her pizza. She put Kayden's food in the microwave. She cuddled up next to him and went to sleep.
