Alex was curled into a ball crying her eyes out. Nobody could take this pain away. It felt like someone had took away a part of her.
"Alex? Do you want something to eat?". Jordan came into the room.
"Yeah, I'm coming". Alex wiped her eyes.
She wrapped her robe around her body. She went into the bathroom. Alex didn't recognize herself. Her hair was in a messy bun. He eyes were sunken and bloodshot. Her skin which was usually bright and soft was wet and discolored.
Alex washed her face which seemed to help and went downstairs.
"Hey Alex, you feeling any better?". Nick hugged her.
"If I finally stopped crying, I guess that counts for something". Alex sighed.
Nick nodded.
"It will get better". Nick reassured her.
Alex sat at the table.
Kayden was in the booster seat next to her.
"Hey Kay". Alex pinched his cheek.
He giggled.
"Hi Mommy". Kayden smiled.
His smile was enough to cheer Alex up.
"How did you sleep?". Alex asked him.
"Good. I went potty too!". He cheered.
"Yaaay! Good job baby!". Alex smiled for the first time in hours.
Jordan handed her a plate with pancakes and bacon on it.
Alex didn't really want to eat, but she knew she had to.
She cut up Kayden's pancakes for him.
Alex ate half her pancakes and one piece of bacon.
She put the rest of her food in the refrigerator and cleaned Kayden up. She decided to take him to the park. She showered and put on her clothes. She got Kayden dressed.
"We're going to the park". Alex announced to Jordan and Nick.
"Ok see y'all later". Jordan called.
Alex led Kayden to the car. She helped him get inside and he strapped himself in.
Alex went to the drivers side and got into the car. She put her seatbelt on and drove in the direction of the park.
"Mommy can we get ice cream?". Kayden asked.
Alex nodded.
They arrived at the park shortly. Alex opened the door for Kayden and he hopped out the car. He quickly grabbed Alex's hand and led her to the swings.

After Kayden had finished playing, Alex had gotten him a chocolate ice cream cone. She didn't want anything to eat.
She handed him the ice cream.
"You ready to go?". Alex looked to Kayden.
He nodded.
They slowly walked back to the car.
Alex felt good, she had finally forgotten about Carter and all his bullshit. Until he walked up to her in the park.
"Alex, please, you didn't let me talk yesterday but please just let me explain". He begged.
"Fine. Lets go". Alex grew angry at the sight of his face.
He walked over to a park bench and she let Kayden play in the sand in front of them.
"I didn't have sex with her...willingly...we had drinks and then I was dizzy and the bar was spinning. The next thing I remember is waking up beside her". He explained.
"So your telling me she drugged you and had sex with you and is probably carrying your baby?". Alex narrowed her eyes at him.
"Yes". He nodded.
"What do you think I should say right now? You shouldn't have even been in a place where a bitch could do you like that. We should've been planning our wedding yet you entertain bitches like India who want to tie you down with a motherfucking kid. I don't understand why the fuck you would even think of linking up with her again when you clearly didn't work the first time. All I'm gonna say is this, if this baby is yours, I'm done. If it isn't, we can work it out". Alex let all her anger out.
"That's understandable. But, what are we now?". He looked into her eyes hopefully.
Alex really wanted Carter. She wanted him to hold her and tell her everything was OK. But life never worked like that.
"I'm gonna be honest, I want this, I want us. But I need time to process everything and get myself together. I just can't jump back into this while knowing everything that happened. So for now, we can be working on it". Alex sighed.
"I'm cool with that. So since we working on it, can I take you out tonight?". Carter smiled.
"I don't know my new manz might be taking me out tonight". Alex joked.
"That is not funny Alex". Carter rolled his eyes.
Alex burst into laughter.
"Fine, you can take me out tonight". Alex giggled.
"OK, we leaving at seven". He smiled wide.
"You smiling hella hard". Alex smirked.
"Man, you just betta have yo ass ready by seven". He was still smiling.
He walked Kayden and Alex to the car. Kayden strapped himself in and Alex closed the car door. They both went around to the drivers side.
"I'm glad you decided to let me take you out and I promise you won't regret it". He pulled Alex into a hug.
They stood there for a while.
"Carter, are you gonna let go?". Alex's voice was muffled.
"I don't want to let you go". He sniffled.
Alex pulled away and he was crying. She stood on her toes and kissed his cheek.
"We are gonna make it". Alex whispered to him.
"You coming home?". He asked.
She nodded.
"See you there". He kissed her forehead.
Alex got into the car and called Jordan.
"He followed us to the park". Alex informed her.
"This nigga". Jordan chuckled.
"He wants to take me out on a date tonight". Alex blushed.
"Are you going?". Jordan asked.
"I'm gonna go just to see what he wants to do and what he tryna win me back with". Alex smirked.
Jordan chuckled.
"Alex you make me laugh even when you going through". Jordan admired her.
"So Kay coming back over here?". Jordan asked.
"Yeah, but depending on how this date go, I might be coming back too". Alex rolled her eyes.
She turned into the driveway of her house.
"Alright Imma see you tonight". Alex ended the call with Jordan.
Hopefully this went well because it would be the cause of Alex to snap if it didn't.
