Night came quickly.  Nick had the ring ready.  Jordan had just fallen asleep.  He wasn't sure if he should do it now.  What if she woke up while he was putting it on her? He went into their bedroom and slid into bed next to Jordan.  She wrapped her arms around Nick instantly. He took her left hand and slid the ring on.  He went rigid and held his breath hoping she didn't wake up.  After a minute he settled and went to sleep.

The next morning he woke up and went into the bathroom.  He brushed his teeth and and got dressed for the day.  He woke up Kensey and got her dressed for school.

"Daddy, are you in love with JJ?".  She asked as he helped her with her uniform socks.

"Yes I am actually. Why do you ask?".  He put her shoes on.

"I love her too".  Kensey admitted.

This warmed Nick's heart.

He grabbed Kensey's backpack and went into the kitchen.

"What do you want for breakfast?". He asked.

"Waffles". She was tuned into her tablet.

He went into the freezer and put waffles in the toaster.

Once they popped up, he put them on a plate with strawberries and whipped cream.

After Kensey finished eating they headed toward the car.

"Ok, I'll pick you up later. I love you and have a good day". He said.

She leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"Bye Daddy". Kensey called going toward the building.

He watched her go inside and then drove back home.

He peeked in his and Jordan's room and she was still asleep. He went into the living room and watched the news while running on the treadmill. After his workout he heard a scream.

"OH MY GOD!". Jordan screamed.

He smirked to himself knowing she found the ring.

Going into their bedroom, he found Jordan in the bathroom staring at the engagement ring.

"Good morning sunshine". Nick smiled.

"Bbabbyyyy". She cried.

He loved her reaction.

"What does this mean?". She asked not taking her eyes off him.

He got down on one knee.

"It means I want you to be Mrs. Green. Will you marry me?". He asked.

"I-I-will!". She screamed throwing her arms around him.

He picked her up and spun her around.

"I can't believe we're getting married". She whispered.

"I can. Your one of the best things that has ever happened to me". He kissed her lips.

"Hey? Did Jordan find the ring yet?". Carter asked Alex.

"Yeah, she just called me. A lot of crying from us both. She wants me to go dress shopping with her in a week. The wedding is going to be in a year". Alex informed him.

"Wow. I cant wait until our wedding". Carter smiled to Alex.

"Well there aint gonna be a wedding if you don't pop the question, sir". She giggled.

"Are you rushing me?". He smirked.

"I let you do things at your own pace, you should know that by now". She winked.
