The Bad Part About Loving Her

Chapter 42

Of all the people Alex thought would hurt her, it wasn't Carter. He was the least expected.

"Mommy where we go?". Kayden piped from the backseat.

"Om, we're gonna go on a little vacation". Alex sniffled.

"Okay". He nodded.

Alex drove to the furthest hotel. She didn't want to take the chance of Carter finding her right now.

Once the parked in the hotel parking lot, Kayden unbuckled himself. Alex got their bags out of the car. She took Kayden's hand  and led him inside.

"How much is your best suite?". Alex asked the front desk manager.

"We have the London suite which is $1000 a night and the Paris suite which is $1500 a night". He answered.

"I'll take the Paris suite". Alex handed him her black card.

He took the card and swiped it.

"Alrighty, your all set. Your suite is on the fifth floor" The manager handed her a room key and her her black card.

Alex took both cards and picked up her and Kayden's bags. She went toward the elevator and went to the fifth floor.

The suite was along with four others. Alex looked at the room key. It read Gatsby Suite in gold cursive letters.

Alex looked at the names on each door until she reached their room. She used the keycard to open the door and let Kayden in.

He immediately ran inside and began looking around the gorgeously decorated suite.

"This is pretty". Alex looked around.

Kayden went to the living area and turned on the tv. Alex put their clothes away and sat on the couch with Kayden.

She pulled him into her lap.

"I love you Kay. You and Jj all I got". Alex played in his hair.

"You got Daddy too!". Kayden tried to remind her.

"No, I don't" Alex whispered to herself.

The next morning Alex was woken up by someone knocking on the door to the suite.

She looked at the time on her phone and it was 6 in the morning. Kayden was sprawled out on Alex's body.

She picked him up and went to the door.

She looked through the peephole and Jordan and Rosae were at the door.

She opened it and went to put Kayden back in the bed.

"Alex?!". Jordan shrieked behind Alex.

"How can I help you Jj?". Alex sighed laying Kayden down.

"Why the hell weren't you answering your phone all yesterday and this morning. And why the hell are you at a hotel without  your fiance?". Jordan shrieked.

Alex sighed.

"I think we just need a long girls talk right now". Alex sighed.

They all went into the living area and Alex sat down between Rosae and Jordan.

"Alright, spill the tea". Jordan rushed.

Alex proceeded to tell them everything.

"I thought India was married". Rosae revealed.

"After Carter?". Alex furrowed her eyebrows.

"Yes and it was recently that they walked down the aisle". Rosae was looking through India's Instagram.
