Chapter 30

Tonight would be Nick and Jordan's engagement party. Alex was getting dressed for today because her and Jordan would be getting ready for tonight.

"Pass me my shirt please". Alex asked Carter.



"Maid of Honor? Jordan made you maid of honor?". Carter was surprised.

"Yeah, she has sisters but they aren't close. Did Nick make you his best man?". Alex put her shirt on.

"Yeah. That's why I asked, it's gonna be a wedding to remember". Carter thought on the wedding that would take place six months from today.

"I guess. But I probably won't be back until its almost time to get dressed so do you want Kay to go with me?". She grabbed her keys putting them in her pocket.

"Nah. We can chill and go to the park or whatever he wants to do". He shook his head.

"OK, love you see you later". She went over to him and planted a kiss on his lips.

She went out the door and called Jordan.

"Hey, I'm on the way". Alex informed her.

"Alright, are you wearing your shirt?". Jordan sounded like she was rushing.

"Yeah. I'm pulling up". Alex smirked

"Shit! Ok, give me like five minutes". Jordan huffed.

Alex hung up chuckling. She was nowhere near Jordan's house.

She pulled up into the driveway where Jordan was waiting with her arms folded.

"Bitch! You said you were here". Jordan hit Alex's arm.

"I lied. But look at it this way, you had more time". Alex giggled.

First they headed to the nail salon.

Alex got matte pink acrylics and Jordan got matte red acrylics.

They got their pedicures, their toes the same colors.

Next they went to get their hair done. Jordan got her dye washed out and went with her original ginger look.

"Aww my Jj's getting married". Alex cooed wiping her eyes.

"I know right. We always thought you would get married to Jay first. But that ship has sailed and sunk". Jordan rolled her eyes.

"Your right about that". Alex shuddered just thinking of her naive younger self.

They went to lunch after their hair was done.

"So how do you really feel about Nick, proposing and y'all getting married and everything?". Alex stabbed her fork into her salad.

"I just feel like, nothing or no one is on the planet when I'm with him. It's kinda like it's just us and Kensey floating on the planet. I love the way he took on the responsibility that came with Kensey. He only asks me for help on some days with her. Like when she isn't feeling to good or she wants her nails done. It's so cute, the bond they have formed. And she even told she was glad that he was marrying me". Jordan glowed while speaking about Nick and Kensey.

"I am so happy for you. I really like seeing you this happy". Alex smiled.

They finished eating and went back to Jordan's house for a nap.

Alex woke up and grabbed her keys. It was 7:45pm. The party started at 9:00 and ended at 11.

She drove home and the boys were still asleep.

"Babe?". Alex called to Carter.

He was snoring with Kayden sleeping on his chest.
