The Bad Part About Loving Her

Chapter 40

Today was the day of the wedding. Alex was so happy for her best friend. She was now on her way to the church to get dressed. Kayden was already dressed. The church was on the beach, it was a beautiful venue.

"Are you excited for Jj?". Alex asked Kayden.

"What she doin?". He asked.

"Getting married baby". Alex chuckled.

"What DAT?". He asked excitedly.

"A ceremony where two people who love each get to spend the rest of their lives together". She explained thinking of Carter.

"Okay". He nodded.

They arrived to the church and Kayden got himself out the car.

"Good job Kay". Alex praised him.

"Tank you Mommy". He smiled.

"No problem". Alex giggled.

They went inside the church and everyone was scattered. Jordan's sisters gave Alex menacing looks. Alex didn't care, it wasn't her fault that Jordan picked her to be the maid of honor.

"OK, your gonna go with Uncle Nick while I get dressed". Alex led Kayden to Nick.

"Alex, I just want to say, I love you. Your now about to be my sister in law, and I just think your a great person". Nick hugged her.

"Aww thanks, and I can't think of a better person to marry Jordan other than you, but if you hurt her, I'll be after you". Alex warned.

Nick chuckled.

"I'm not playing". She thumped him.

As she turned around Jordan's mother was approaching her quickly.

"Alex come quick". Jordan's Mom pulled her toward where Jordan was.

"She is having an anxiety attack and we can't get her to calm down".  Her Mom explained.

"Ok, I go it".  Alex braced herself.

She cracked the door open and Jordan was hyperventilating and shaking.

Her sisters were trying to calm her down,  but it wasn't working.

Alex went inside.

"Jj what's happening?". Alex earned stank looks from Jordan's sisters.

"I-I can't do this,  I look fat and I don't know what to do".  She cried.

Alex ordered everybody out,  but nobody moved.

"Can y'all understand English? Get the hell out!".  Alex yelled.

She closed and locked the door behind them. 

"OK Jordan,  it is my job to get you down that aisle. What's really wrong,  because you being fat is like me being a 600 pound girl".  Alex put her hand on her hip.

"Alex,  all my life,  I've had to deal with unhappy couples.  I don't want that to be me and Nick.  I want to be happy most of the time and never forget why we fell in love with each other".  Jordan wiped her eyes.

"That's the point J, y'all gotta fight together to keep y'all together. It's not gonna be happy days all the time but,  mostly happy days sound great.  You just gotta take that chance and that leap of faith with him.  And pray y'all make it".  Alex reassured her.

"OK, I can do this".  Jordan wiped her tears and Alex helped her do her makeup.

"Alright let me get dressed".  Alex hugged Jordan tight.
