Alex sat in Alice's office staring face-to-face with her former co-worker Adrien. She was begging for her job back. And Alice left that decision up to Alex.
"So it says here, that you want your job back". Alex began calmly.
"I do". Adrien nodded.
"Why?". Alex asked curiously.
"I need money to pay bills and to pay my Mom's hospital bill". She explained.
"Your Mom's hospital bill". Alex cocked her head to the side.
"Yes. She has stage two cancer". Adrien elaborated.
"That's very interesting". Alex frowned.
"What do you mean?". Adrien Adrian was confused now.
"See Adrien, you know me, or at least you thought you did. Because, before this meeting, I did a little digging, a little snooping, and your Mom? She doesn't have cancer. Not a trace in her body. You know how I know? She called me. She told me you all haven't spoken in months. But you didn't want me to know that. So again I ask why should we re-hire you?". Alex smirked.
Adrien was silent.
"I need money before they kick me out of my apartment". She said truthfully.
"Sob story of the year". Alex clapped.
"Please Alex, I am sorry". Adrien pleaded.
"Now your sorry". Alex was amused.
"Yes. I didn't think this would become this way for us". Adrien looked as if she would cry.
Alex took a manila folder out of her bag and slid it to Adrien.
"What is this?". Adrien asked opening the folder.
"See Adrien, what I've learned about you, is that your fake. You don't have a real bone in your body. Those are screenshots. Sent to me by your friends, which are also my friends. Or did you forget your even relevant because of me? Now the last screenshot was sent to me last night. I bet you recognize who you sent that to. Jordan. She is my best friend Adrien! How could you be so dumb to think she wouldn't show me this? Now I want you to read what it says". Alex smirked smugly.
"Uhm-I-I-I don't think I can". Jordan stuttered.
"Read it". Alex commanded.
"I bet Alex doesn't suspect Alice to tell her that I'm coming back to Cherry Red. How stupid is your bitch ass bestie". Adrien read in discomfort.
"Interesting". Alex smiled.
"I was drunk when I sent this". Adrien attempted to explain her actions.
"That's interesting. So what your saying is, your so incapable of saying this shit to my face that you have to get drunk to say it to someone else?". Alex summed up what Adrien said.
"No. That's not what I meant". Adrien shook her head.
"Then what do you mean?". Alex was confused now.
"I get drunk to cope with what is happening around me. Just like you tried to jump off that balcony". Adrien smirked.
Alex grew angry now.
"Who told you that?". Alex gritted.
"That's not the question of the situation. The question is, what will you do to keep my mouth shut?". Adrien smirked smugly.
"If that gets out I'll personally beat your ass". Alex threatened.
"Sure. Now, I'll give you some time to think about re-hiring me". Adrien smirked.
"I wouldn't be to smug just yet Adrien". Alex shot.
Adrien stopped at the double doors.
"What is that supposed to mean?". Adrien frowned.
"It means you have told me things. Things that could get you locked up". Alex smirked.
"You wouldn't". Adrien challenged.
"Oh but I would". Alex smirked.
"Fine. You don't spill on me I don't spill on you". Adrien tried to make a deal.
"No. I run this. And don't worry about your spot on Cherry Red. It's already been filled". Alex finished up the meeting.
"By who?". Adrien frowned.
"The one who sealed your fate". Alex was full on beaming now.
"Jordan?! You replaced me with Jordan?! She doesn't even dance! You will regret this!". Adrien screamed.
"Security!". Alex called.
"Really?! This is absolute bullshit!". Adrien screamed as security hauled her away.
"Bye bye bitch". Alex chuckled to herself.
Adrien was hauled away. Alex sat in the conference room wondering why Alice even thought this was a good idea. She picked up her purse and turned the lights out in the conference room. She went downstairs and was greeted by Nick her new body guard. He opened the front door for her and opened the car door.
"Where to?". Alex's driver asked.
"Cherry Red Studio". Alex answered.
Alex dialed Alice's phone number
"How did it go?". Alice asked.
"Horrible. She tried to blackmail me with my... incident. But I handled it". Alex reassured.
"Ok. The mini cherries are here waiting. I hope your on your way". Alice informed Alex.
"Yep on my way right now". Alex nodded.
She hung up the phone and looked over to Nick. He resembled Carter in many ways. The skin tone, the haircut, the features of his face.
"See something you like?". Nick smirked.
"Oh! Uhm-I-I was w-wondering if you-uh-maybe have a brother?". Alex stammered.
"We look that alike?". Nick asked.
"Excuse me?". Alex asked confusedly.
"Carter and me. Yeah, he is my brother. He actually got me this job". Nick explained.
"He got you this job?". Alex frowned.
"Yeah. All he had to do was recommend me to Alice and I was hired a day later. It was just that easy". Nick smiled at Alex's confusion.
Why would Carter get Nick a job working in his old position? Alex thought. She had so many questions to ask Carter now. But it would have to wait until the Cherry Red tour. She couldn't afford a trip to New York just to get pushed away again. Alex was secretly forming a plan in her head, and it would be just enough to get Carter's attention.
