After the performance, Alex was subjected to many questions about the deal, her personal life and Kayden.
Alice was picking and choosing which reporters' question would be answered next.
"Umh-you in the blue shirt". Alice pointed to a woman.
"How do you feel about the shots your former co-worker Adrien has fired at you on social media?". The reporter asked.
"At the end of the day I'm not losing sleep over nobody that don't stop the money from coming in". Alex answered truthfully.
The reporters nodded and proceeded to try and ask more questions.
"That's all the time I have for now be sure to check in with me on my Instagram live I'll answer as many questions as I can". Alex nodded.
She got up and left out the back door with Carter and Jordan close behind her. They got into the car and headed to Alex's penthouse.
"That was inspiring". Jordan smiled at Alex.
"What do you mean?". Alex looked to her best friend.
"I mean the way you clicked with those kids and opened up Mini Cherries. It's awesome". Alex smiled.
"Thank you J". Alex smiled.
They arrived at the penthouse to see Edwin Shire at Alex's door.
"Alex! I've been calling you". He looked nervous.
"Edwin what's wrong?". Alex frowned going inside.
"The police and child services are coming over". He sighed.
"What?! Why?!". Alex looked at him in fear.
"Your mother, the judge saw the case and immediately granted custody to your Mother. She claimed a popping dance star like yourself possibly couldn't handle having a kid". Edwin explained.
"I-I so are you saying I could lose my son?". Alex searched for any hint of a joke from Edwin.
"Yes. We could try and get him back but Judge Hardy isn't going for it. She has something against young people". Edwin tried to make Alex feel better.
"I'm not giving them my son". Alex whispered.
"Alex! You have to, you could go to jail!". Edwin yelled.
"I DON'T CARE! KAYDEN IS WORTH EVERY DAMN SECOND SPENT! I AM NOT GIVING THEM MY SON". Alex screamed with tears running down her face.
Just as she finished three bangs sounded on the door.
"They're here". Edwin looked over to Alex who was holding onto Kayden.
"How can I help you officers?". Edwin smiled as if nothing was wrong.
"We have a court order here saying that we need to remove a child from this address". The officer explained.
"Well, Ok, right this way". Edwin braced himself for what might occur tonight.
The police entered the pent house and Edwin followed.
"Where is the child?". The police officer looked to Edwin.
"I uhm-he is with his Mother?". He wasn't sure where Alex had gone.
"Sir, if your hiding this child, you could go to jail for stopping police processes". A younger cop spoke up.
"Who are you?". Edwin narrowed his eyes at him.
"Officer Roland. I just started today". The young officer answered dumbly.
"I thought so". Edwin shook his head.
"Kayden is with his mother however I don't know where she went". Edwin looked over at Carter.
Jordan was gone too.
"We'll need to search the premises". The older police officer began walking upstairs to the bedroom.
Alex was there with Jordan craddling Kayden in her arms.
"Ma'am we need to get this child out of here and to his legal gaurdian". The young officer stated.
"Your not taking my son". Alex whispered.
"Ma'am we aren't going to ask again". The officer put his hand on his weapon.
"Your going to shoot me? With my son watching? Well go ahead, because taking him is like killing me a thousand times". Alex looked at the officers in disgust.
The older officer walked toward Alex. Her head snapped up to him.
"Ma'am just give me the baby". He inched closer to her carefully.
Alex didn't respond to him.
He issued for his partner to help.
In flash his partner took Kayden and Alex began to attack. The older cop grabbed her and Jordan stood up.
"LET HER GO!". Jordan was hitting the cop as the younger officer took Kayden to safety.
"GIVE ME BACK MY SON!". Alex screamed.
Once the older cop felt that his partner had Kayden safe, he dropped Alex on the floor.
"What the hell?! You can't just drop her like that! I want your motherfucking badge number!". Jordan screamed.
Alex just stayed on the floor in a fetal position.
"I'm going to have your career served to you on a silver fucking platter". Edwin threatened the cop.
The cop nodded and followed his partner out the door.
Alex just laid there. Tears pouring from ber eyes. Yet she didn't make a sound.
"Alex?". Jordan looked at her crumbled best friend.
Alex didn't respond.
"Let's get you to bed". Jordan lowered down to her.
She helped Alex up and laid her in bed. Jordan cut the lights out and laid next to Alex. Alex just cried. She had lost everything she could live for. She looked out the window to her balcony.
That ledge looked a little peaceful right now.
