"Can you please at least get four tickets to New York then?" I hear my mom say. She must be on the phone. "Great.Thank you!" She says. I walk down the stairs and see my mom hanging up the phone. "So who is going to New York?" I ask sliding on to the kitchen counter. "Honey, you know I would love to take you but they only have four seats left" My mom says with no emotion what so ever. "Really? You will take Davy Tay and Annabeth anywhere but when it comes to me, I'm nothing right? I'm just something you are forced to feed and provide shelter for" I scream feeling tears rush down my face. "You will never understamd!" My mom yells gritting her teeth. "What? Explain it to me!" I scream, tears pouring down my face. "You Tay and Annabeth don't have the same father. I got pregnant with you with someone else, while I was married to Annabeth's father. He forgave me and then when I got pregnant with Tay, who is his, he left" My mom says walking towards me. "Don't touch me" I say shoving past her and running towards the Brooks' house. I knock on the door and Beau answers. When he sees my face he pulls me in and sets me on his lap while he sits on the couch. "Tell me everything" he whispers, not letting go of me. I calm down and start to explain everything to Beau.
When I finish telling Beau everything he hugs me tighter. "I am so sorry" he whispers in to my neck. "I mean I always felt like I didn't belong with any of them and now I find out I'm not even part of the family" I say with more tears starting to fall. "Hey look at me" Beau whispers lifting my chin up and wiping away my tears, "You will always be a part of this family." "I know Beau" I say squeezing him. "What happened love?" Gina asks walking through the door. "Beau can you explain? I think I'm just going to take a quick nap in your room, Is that cool?" I say standing up. "Of course love, I will wait for Jai and Luke to get home so I wont have to explain it more than once" he responds giving me a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thanks" I say appreacitively walking up the stairs to Beau's bedroom.
"Kayla, wake up" I hear Jai whisper. "Hey Jai" I say sitting up in the bed. "Beau told us all what happened, I am so sorry" he responds hugging me. I hug him back, "I guess I was right when I said I was nothing like any of them." "I guess. It doesn't mean this doesn't suck though" Jai says. I chuckle, "You got that right." Jai cracks a smile and kisses my forehead. I look up at him and smile. "Great news!" Gina yells barging in to Beau's room. "What mum?" Jai and I ask at the same time. "One, stop with the saying things at the same time, it's scary and two Kayla you get to stay with us for a few months!" Gina responds throwing her hands in the air. "What? That's fantastico!" Jai and I yell at the same time. He picks me up and spins me around. "Again with the at the same time? And your mum and the rest of the kids are flying out to New York to see Tay and Annabeth's father and Davy's parents. They'll be there the whole summer, they just left" Gina says hugging Jai and I both. "Yay!" I scream running downstairs. "Hope you guys don't mind having an extra person around the house for the summer" I say running in front of Luke and Beau's intense game of FIFA. Beau's mouth drops open and he pauses the game. "For serious?" Him and Luke yell jumping up. "For serious" I say laughing as they both attack me, making me fall down. "Do not break her, her mother already despises us" Gina says pulling Luke and Beau off of me. "Thanks mum" I laugh kissing her cheek. "Go pack up some things and we will discuss sleeping arrangements when you get home. Boys go with her, but Behave" Gina says. When she says the last part everyone laughed because we all knew the boys can't go ten minutes without messing something up. The guys and I get up and walk, more like skip, to my house.
When we got back to the Brooks' house, James and Daniel were there too. "Moving in?" Daniel asks walking over to take one of the boxes I was holding. "For the summer" I say hugging him then James. "This will be the best summer ever then" James says squeezing my shoulders. "You got that right" we all say laughing. "Alright, James and Daniel you guys will be in Beau's room, Kayla, you will be in Luke and Jai's room. Ok?" Gina says once we are all settled down on the couch. "Alright" I say grabbing my stuff and bringing it to the twins room. When I put my stuff down and turn around the guys are all behind me holding all my stuff. "And this is why I love you guys" I say laughing. They all chuckle, put my stuff down and then embrace me in a gigantic, bone crushing group hug. "I love you guys" I whisper. "We love you Kay" they all yell.
